I have always had good results working through Amazon when I have had problems with something I ordered. I highly recommend contacting the seller through Amazon and then contacting Amazon customer service if you don’t get a good response. It may take time and being firm and clear about your expectations but as long as you are reasonable about what you are asking Amazon will help you get compensation for bad product. That said—I have bought these bags several times and love them. They are superior in my experience to others because of the twist cap. The ones that fold close just don’t stay closed for me but these have stayed compressed. I have not had any damaged ones shipped to me yet.

Q: what is the lifetime guarantee?

Our bags failed when the blue seals delaminated. The "lifetime guarantee" is valid ONLY if you buy the bags from them directly or via Amazon. They will not honor the warranty if you can't locate your "order number" (this per a recent email from the company). This is nowhere stated on the website or the bag, so consider the "warranty a marketing gimmick only.

Q: I need a lot of responses, will these bags hold up long enough for me to travel to another country?

Short answer - yes. A couple of things to keep in mind, though: make double, even triple sure you have sealed them properly and KEEP SHARP ITEMS FAR AWAY. Don't get me wrong, I love these bags and use them all of the time, but no matter how thick the plastic, if your cat lets out her claws on these, or if you try to force the bag in or out of a drawer or container (always remember the valve sticks out!), they can be punctured. Since the plastic is so thick, the hole does not usually make itself known right away and I find out about it when I go to retrieve the bag an now I can't get it out of the small space I was able to use!
