Post Surgical Blessing
Post surgical blessing. Been using this for 6 weeks straight. I've been on less pain medication due to this device. It runs really quiet and is easy to move around. I highly recommend buying the foot/ankle pad for surgery. It wraps around my foot easily and gets to all my post surgery sites at one time so no need to shift it around. Surgical sites were my tibia, ankle, and big toe from bunion surgery. I wear size 7 shoe but there is a lot of overlapping on the pad to accomadate larger foot sizes and my foot was also very swollen. This pad also worked to wrap around right below my knee while I was in a cast. I am petite so this may not work for some and you may require a larger pad. *** update 2020. This has now lasted through 3 surgeries with continuous use. Amazing product. I now have 2 of theses and use an interval timer so the machine runs on for 15 then off for 15min. With that 4 frozen water bottles last approximately 8 hrs. ******

Fabulous Machine
This ice machine has been an indispensable pain reliever to me. Following reconstructive surgery of my severed arch tendon, I used this machine every day, sometimes all day to keep the pain and swelling down. I found over the months that using frozen water bottles kept the water at a nice cold temperature was good for all day use. If I need it colder, I just added some ice to the water in the bottom. The detachable pad component comes off easily and does not leak. The ankle pad wraps around my foot perfectly and stays in place with the large velcro patches they provide. The temperature can be adjusted by changing the flow rate, which is controlled by a knob on the front of the machine. When using ice in the machine, it gets very cold, and there is some condensation along the hoses, but a hand towel takes care of that. I hightly recommend the Cold Rush US to anyone who is having major surgery that will involve swelling. But get it before you come home from the hospital so you can use it right away. The machine has to have about at least an inch of water in it before you add any ice or bottles so the pump can work properly. The top is a little hard to open unless you have fingernails. That is about my only complaint. Otherwise, it is great!!

Won’t turn on after storing
This was an incredible help after my daughter’s knee surgery. She loved it. It was amazing. I was hesitant to purchase due to the high cost, but invested anyhow. (My daughter is worth it right?). But unfortunately, she re-tore her ACL and needed surgery again. “At least we already have the ice machine!”, I think. Then, it won’t turn on. Dead. Verified that the power adapter is functioning. The pump is not made to be easily accessible by any means, and company is unhelpful with returning. Conclusion: it’s great, but made to be disposable. Planned obsolescence. It’s just too expensive for use for one event. They really need to build this for long-term use. It’s not.

Fantastic machine
This is a great machine. I bought one for surgery in 2019 and used it constantly back then, and then intermittently since. I had to get another surgery and the first machine died so I bought this one. It is still fantastic-you can control water flow (how cold it gets), ice without getting wet, and the ice stays cold for 5-6 hours. However, the new pads come with Velcro to stay in place. It works, but it is way too strong and pulled apart the pad after using it 1 day. Highly recommend the machine, but don’t use the Velcro.

SO MUCH BETTER THAN ICE PACKS!
The media could not be loaded. Bought this for my daughter who needed to ice her foot several times a day after surgery. Great product and what surprised me the most is the machine is QUIET! No noise AT ALL which is great! Very satisfied and i recommend this to anyone who needs to ice any part of your body (just make sure you have the appropriate size pad for the area that needs icing) We bought the machine with a foot/ankle pad but there are other options too (knee, shoulder, hip etc...) Here's a tip... freeze 6 water bottles and use in the machine instead of ice. 3 can go in at a time and 3 stays in the freezer so you can always alternate.

Great icing option
The Cold Rush Therapy System performs as advertised. It is easy to set up and run and provides at least three full icing cycles. It has done a solid job of providing relief for a badly sprained ankle. The only down side would be that it does go through a lot of ice.

You will be buying extra pads as they only last 2 weeks, just factor that into the cost of this.
As many other has noted, these pads do not last very long. I am using it 20 hours a day or more, and in the middle of the night last night, the pad starting leaking everywhere. I inspected the pad this morning and there's a small tear in the corner. The pads needing to be replaced after 2 weeks is a common problem from reading the review section.I have submitted to see if they will cover this under warranty of not. I will update this review when I hear back.Other than that, the machine is great. Very quite, looks nicer than the competition, and is the only reason I'm not on pain pills.

Despite description, no compression
Purchased this particular ice machine because the description included compression. There is no compression. This is simply an enhanced ice chest with a pump to circulate cold water from the chest to the pad and back, circulating the water. Ice chest is great and pump is super, super quiet. Tubing and pad materials are of a low quality and do not feel as though they will hold up well. Lots of condensation build up on the tubing, tubing leaks a bit after disconnecting pad. Does not appear to be any way to get all of the water out of the pad for storage, so consider getting a new pad after this has been stored for any length of time. All that being said, it keeps the circulating water cold for about 2 hours.
