First of all, I'm really happy with the product overall, and I actually just ordered a second box, which prompted me to write a review. I started with completely virgin, 2b dark brown hair. I am black/white mixed with a natural 3c curl, and very fine hair, but I always use a low heat iron to loosen the curl. I don't use any hair products except for raw African Shea butter and organic coconut oil. I wash my hair usually 1-2x a week, and waited 5 days from washing before bleaching. I left the product on for about 80 minutes altogether!! 50 minutes starting a half inch from the scalp, then another 30 applied at the roots. I also wrapped tinfoil around my hairline for the last ~25 minutes. I'm definitely happy with the texture of my hair afterwards, it feels completely soft and healthy in every way. It needed a LOT of toning but that's just because my hair is so naturally reddish so of course lightening automatically makes it bright orange at first. I recommend concentrated toning drops which you can apply directly to the hair, and/or add to your products. I'm going to apply again to achieve a more platinum blonde because I'm aiming for a "pink and white" cupcake Cyndi lauper inspired, more artistic look, and plan to add neon pink highlights. I recently moved from the country to a big city and I'm really having fun changing up my look to better fit the vibe of my awesome neighborhood. :) I'll update with the results.

My 7-year-old has been begging for purple hair, and the Softsheen-Carson Dark and Lovely Fade Resist in Virtual Violet was perfect! We didn’t leave it in for the full recommended time since we wanted a lighter, more playful shade—and it came out gorgeous!The color is vibrant without being too bold, and it gave her that fun purple tint she was dreaming of. The conditioning mask included left her hair feeling soft and healthy, which I really appreciated. She’s absolutely in love with her new look and hasn’t stopped smiling since we did it.Highly recommend for anyone looking for a fun, conditioning hair color experience—especially for first-timers!

This is my favorite hair dye and I love the fact that they include a tube of CONDITIONER too!!!!!!!! My #1 Top favorite of all time!! Love! Love! Love! PS: The price for the (2) set boxes is FANTASTIC, with the subscribe and save discount too! I bought 5 sets & I will order more! lol

I was very pleased about how hassle-free this kit was. It's just like using any other box dye! I did misread the instructions for the mixing part and just put 1 packet of powder instead of 2 haha. But luckily I had bought 2 extra boxes I bought, so I just went over the sections again with the right amount of powder mixed in.As for the color lift, I was surprised with how even the end result was. Like most first rounds of bleach, it is blotchy, but with this kit it was a lot more even than past bleaches I have used. The color wasn't like the picture, it was more of a light yellow, with a bit of orange on the darker parts of my hair. So, I will definitely have to bleach again to get that platinum blonde i'm going for. If you buy this bleach kit with the knowledge you'll most likely have to bleach again, then it's a 5 star. the reason I gave 4 stars was because I was expecting it to lift a little more, and also the blue shampoo included in the kit didn't work for me. I still have another one left, so I'll see if the brassiness gets corrected with another wash.Also, It DID burn a little, but it wasn't unbearable and went away after 30 minutes. I had left the bleach in for 1 1/2 hours, and my hair wasn't damaged. (I have kinky hair, it did loosen my curls a bit, but it doesn't look like fried ramen noodles* You do have to be patient with this bleach because it may take a little while to start showing the lift like mine did. I put a plastic bag on my hair which wasn't in the instructions, but I feel like it helped tremendously with achieving a satisfactory end result. Until I re-bleach, I am perfectly fine with walking around with my current color. Sometimes when you bleach, the blochiness and bronziness is so bad you're embarrassed to go out, but with this kit it didn't leave me looking like that!

I really love this box dye. Super standard directions like most of them, the gloves included are a nicer feel than the plastic - though they did leak through by my thumb and index finger (not a deal breaker I was thrilled the gloves were a better material than other brands like Revlon & a little isopropyl alcohol on a cotton ball cleaned up the dye off my hands)The conditioner was a huge game changer, lots of product and made my hair really soft and curly, I purchased the “brown sugar” color and love how it looks!!! Definitely will buy this product from now on.Full coverage on my older dyed dark hair, new blonde growth and even grey hairs. Did not stain scalp after I washed it out and did not burn scalp or skin during application. No string dye scent either once dye and conditioner were washed out - did not shampoo afterwards to test this.

Well, why I got purchased that die so I could die my head back black it went through. I love my black nail and I probably will probably in a couple months or two months. I’ll probably purchase back.
