Battery and Charger Kit for Nikon D7100, D7200 Digital SLR Camera Includes Vertical Battery Grip + Qty 2 Replacement EN-EL15 Batteries + Rapid AC/DC Charger

For the price I did not expect much, but I am very pleasantly surprised. This appears to be a quality product (Vivitar) which does not feel cheap or wobbly. Finally a battery grip that works flawlessly not just with the D7100, but also with my D7200, giving me the exact same functions as the original Nikon grip for less than a third of the price. The included charger seems to do its job as well, and after a few hundred shots even the included third party batteries hold their own. Of course I don't expect the same quality and long-term performance as with the OEM batteries, but so far so good. Hardly a risk for that kind of money.

I own several Nikon cameras, a D80. D300, D4 and a D7100. I tried this grip for the first time instead of going with the Nikon version that was 3x as expensive. honestly I cannot tell the difference between the grips on my D80 and D300 in quality, visual, functionality etc. well worth the money and as good as the 3x more expensive Nikon version of the same product,

Nice quality battery grip. 95% as good as the Nikon branded one for 1/4 of the price. Seats on the camera very solid. It sucks that the grip holds one battery and the other stays in the camera requiring the grip to be removed everytime to charge the battery. That is a design choice (mistake) of Nikon and not the manufacturer. The grip for my D90 was put on the camera the day I got it and is still there 6 years later.

Seems to be working great. Camera still showing a full charge after a couple hundred pics and a few short vids. The duplicated controls for portrait pics function properly. Initial battery charge times seemed a little long and had one connection issue when after showing a friend how it detaches and attaches, the camera showed dead batteries and would not turn on until I detached and attached the grip again. Then it showed full charge and everything ran properly. Unlike a similar grip for my friends Canon D80 that holds 2 batteries and replaces the battery in the camera body, this grip for the Nikon D7200 only holds 1 battery in addition to the one in the camera, so you need to remove the grip to change the camera battery.

My wife is a photographer and this was a major upgrade for her. This set is prefect for the D7200 and will not disappoint.

Maybe I received a dud, but my battery grip is not fully functional with the D7200. Shutter release and AF-ON work as expected, but the dials do not function and battery does not register with the camera.Used the batteries independent of the battery grip. Batteries and charger work great.

I'm an aerial photographer on the go. Sometimes I rotate my camera to grab a portrait shot. I'm on long flights, and don't ever want to be stuck with a dying battery without a backup. Swapping batteries in flight is not an option. This kit was absolutely perfect for me. The battery grip is brilliant. The two batteries brilliant. The mobile charger... you get it. I would buy this product over and over again if I could. I never leave home without my grip. This kit has already paid itself off over and over again!

The vertical battery grip works perfectly. It fits and looks great on my nikon d7100. Can not tell that it is not part of the camera body. The grip feels great too. It's a lot easier to hold the camera in a vertical position. All the buttons work perfectly as well. I have not used the battery and charger very long yet but both appear to work perfectly so far. I would definately recommend these items.
