I revived a brand new $3k Amp, I posted it on and left in standby as one does. Tuned my guitar up and in 5min hit stably up. Amp started powering on all together! So I took the fuse out and it was blown by the wattage to the amp.This indicated to me real quick it was mislabeled and fast blo. They are suppose to be slo blo for amps and consumer electronics. Wattages can vary unless you have a machine that will match it 1:1. Medical and such this is super important! But with consumer gear, no you do not want a fast blo.Turned out this was the same fuse being sold here. And it came down to it being mislabeled somehow. As I replaced with same stats, but slo blow from another manufacture and no issues. Scared me for a min, but no idea how these get mixed up. Seems a lot of amp companies do order this brand! But so many will accidentally be fast blo.So if you bought something new, fuse blew out and this is the exact brand and type…there is the culprit. Just order another brand with same stats that shows “slo blo” then fixed. That’s not to say some are, but given reviews you can see some get unlucky and end up with a fast blo.
