At times it seems quite confusing and puzzling While studying history of english literature .if you are looking for something concised yet contented ,this book is worth opting for. It has clarity of language , precise descriptions of events (includes most of them) ,age division according to the most significant writer/person of the time ;moreover,from the age of Shakespeare ,each of the succeeding era has been subdivided into prose ,poetry ,novel and drama section individually(as in -age of Johnson:The Novel). I personally found it very helpful to clutch those social,political,cultural and literary upheavals and its influences on the development of literature within my grasp.

This book gives a clear and simple overview of English literature. It covers important periods, writers, and movements in an easy-to-understand way. The chapters are well-organized, and the language is friendly for beginners. It's a great choice for students or anyone who wants to learn the basics of English literature.

Great cover, page quality is lovely, quite loved it, quite some content for INR 164/-, the packaging was so well done, it was first packed in a cellophane, then in a bubble wrap and then the Amazon plastic packaging. Thank you.
