Changed My Life!
Kathy's advice and mindful enthusiasm for investing in single family homes changed my life. Now my husband and I own 13 properties - which we never even dreamed was possible. In the past, we invested on our own, and bought two spec homes in 2006 which turned out to be a disaster. We were absolutely "done" with real estate. But in the back of my mind, I knew there had to be something great about it. Perhaps investing was just for the rich and super savvy?Fortunately, just two years ago, I happened to run into a dear friend at the gym who told me he was RETIRING early, and heading out on a month-long cruise with his family, thanks to his many real estate investments. I was shocked! This man certainly did not come from a rich background. He had a regular "job." I asked him how he did it and he said, "Real Wealth Network - Kathy Fettke. Listen to her podcasts!" I ran home and immediately plugged in...and I was hooked.I happened to have an appointment that very week with our financial planner, and during our meeting, she said she had worked out a perfect plan for us...to invest in "safe annuities," do a reverse mortgage on our home and cash in early with our social security. I knew it was a terrible plan. I gave her a copy of Kathy's book "Retire Rich with Rentals" and told her we were considering another plan. I asked her to read it and get back to me if she felt her financial plan for us was still the best for us. I showed her the bottom line and pointed out that Kathy's scenario yielded much higher numbers per month - not only for the present, but also in the future. I showed her that once our homes are paid off, in about seven years, our children will eventually inherit several properties too!! She went home in a bit of a huff, and I NEVER HEARD FROM HER AGAIN NOR DID SHE CHARGE ME FOR OUR APPOINTMENT.Yes, this book is a simple read. This is what Kathy's work is all about!! It's not complex. It's not rocket science, folks. It's just having the guts and the gumption to follow through with a great retirement plan. Kathy always reminds us that if we don't understand something...DON'T DO IT. This is a simple formula, and I believe the safest formula, for a perfect retirement. It's for busy people with JOBS that need to count on vetted and validated Turn-key companies to do all the work. All we do is collect money - which automatically goes into our account each month! Over $500 cash flow per property, which we then "snowball" back into our homes to pay them off. Think about it --- who is paying off our homes? There are some scary Turn-key companies out there, there are a LOT of dishonest and conniving, charming people trying to sell real estate to investors. DON'T BE FOOLED. By joining a large group like Real Wealth Network, with Kathy and Rich Fettke at the head, it's pretty fool-proof. We are a loud group. We talk to each other each month at events. We share business cards and keep in touch. Kathy & Rich get the very best companies on their website. They host property tours and the list goes on. If there are any problems at all, these companies get booted right off!I'm extremely grateful that our investments are in areas of the United States with enormous job and population growth. I would not have known about these homes, nor the turn-key companies or the fabulous property management companies, had it not been for RWN.I love this book - read it, follow the plan and you will be FREE from worrying about your future. I cannot believe how happy I feel every day. It's often been quoted to "live in the moment." Yes, that is true, but we are all happier "in the moment" when we know our future is BRIGHT!!

Great foundation!
I wish I had found the first edition in 2014 or even better listened to her radio show. I had one rental back then but not the knowledge to build it. Highly recommended.

Overall good introduction to real estate investment. For deeper info, you need other books. The key point is join RWN.

A true guide to get started
I always wanted to know how to get into real estate. Years ago I’ve read Kiyosaki’s RDPD, and Cashflow Quadrant. I’ve attended various local seminars, workshops, etc. all felt like they were selling a course of some kind, paid mentorship that were all expensive and you would spend a fortune before you get to know what you need to know. While Kathy’s book is very comprehensive, gives you advantages and disadvantages, pitfalls to avoid, tips to look out for. And most importantly where to go and what to look out for.

Introductory level to comfort beginners to get into real estate investment. Lack of depth though.
I own rental properties and I have read quite some real estate investment related books, including rich-dad-poor-dad series. I finish reading this book in about 30 minutes. If you own rental properties already, this book may not add too much value to improve your investment knowledge. For people that are still wondering whether to invest in real estate or not, this book may comfort you.Nevertheless, I think 50% of the contents can be trimmed away and yet it won't lose the essence the author is trying to convey.By the way, I got the kindle version. The kindle version is awful...a lot of letters are lost, for example "finance" becomes "nance", and "find" becomes "nd". I am able to figure out the lost letters by reading the whole sentence. If you want to buy this book, don't get the kindle version.***************1/15/2015:The author has re-generated the kindle version to fix the conversion issue. Amazon sent me the updated version of this ebook (no cost). I confirmed the updated version does not have the lost letters issue as I have pointed out previously.

Fantastic Foundation For Those New To Real Estate Investing
This was a quick read that laid a solid foundation for understanding the power of rentals as described by the author. Kathy talked about rentals in relation to fix and flips, another common way for folks to get started in real estate investing. She gives an even-handed description of both approaches. As a fairly new investor myself, I found Kathy's descriptions of terminology and approaches to be "just enough." That is, she used examples I could follow, helped me understand the foundational principles, and left me asking questions I was intrigued to research. I like this approach. Helped me stay fully engaged and not overwhelmed. I suspect there is another book about more advanced techniques in the works. I know I will be reading that one, too, should it come out.

Go for it!
I have been a part of the Real Wealth Network for a few years now and had I taken their advice when the economy was so depressed I just might be retired by now. However there are still many opportunities around the country that are shared on an ongoing basis. I really appreciated Kathy's honestly in sharing her own success and failure and why it happened, it helps you feel like you're not alone, we are all human and need the exceptional education and guidance provided by RWN. I have purchased 4 additional books to give to my family in hopes they too can improve their financial situations for life. I would highly recommend Kathy's book, she really knows what she is talking about and has a strong and smart team of professional who work with her.
