I got this to see if it would help with my new umbrella. I have lost two umbrellas to wind and thought if I got this it would help. It was delivered on time and the packaging was good. I took my umbrella in as I was leaving on vacation so I don't really know how well it will work when outside. While I was on vacation I was on a private beach and the crew set up hundreds of chairs and umbrellas daily. I saw them taking them down and witnessed one of the attendants with a wrist full of rubber bands. He cranked each umbrella down and simply put the band around the umbrella from the top. Seeing the way the SGT Knots are made I'm sure I will be satisfied since I saw how well a simple heavy duty rubber band worked in a daily operation.Update: July 2020I've had these for two years now and they still doing a great job. Have had several umbrellas come and go but the Sgt Knot is still working. One accidently got thrown out with one of the broken umbrellas so I have to order two more. Really a great product!

I bought this 5 years ago. It works fine when you use it.
So I'm back to look for a couple of these to perhaps hold together a pool solar cover that I need to store for the winter. I've yet to test the one I have to see if it will work.I bought one of these in 2017. It has worked fine when I've remembered to put it on. The last wind storm we had I forgot and left the umbrella up. So I'm now in the market for a replacement umbrella. That is not the fault of the strap.How can I complain about a 7 dollar (now 9 dollars) item that has done exactly what it stated it would do?

Works well and looks great!
I bought the tan and I love them. Look great on my 3 umbrellas. Very simple to use. I would highly recomend. Should definitley help keep my umbrella's from blowing over in high wind.

Very good product
Easy to use. Stretches accorgly for outdoor umbrella. Much easier then tying and untying for every time used

Perfect design, attractive, strong
I live on saltwater on Florida’s west coast. My patio umbrellas were always getting blown over even when closed when Florida afternoon storms rolled in. So I wanted something to wrap them with that wouldn’t rust and wouldn’t look like “bungee cords” (thick straps and hooks). These can’t rust and have been getting killed by direct sun for a long time without an issue. They look nice and neat, you can pop them off and hang them right on the post all with one hand. Makes my patio umbrellas look like what you’d expect to see at a high end spa. Umbrellas never come open, never tip over, even in gales (assuming the stand is heavy enough).
