Solar Wave 16 Lamp Home Tanning Bed

The media could not be loaded.  I purchased my bed 3 weeks ago. it came last week and after assembling, 2 bulbs wouldnt work. I had to take it apart to troubleshoot and after all bulbs were ok, I called my so called saleman/rep. He referred me to their " warranty" dept and 2-3 days later I got a call. THe Warranty expert told me all he can do is mail out a replacement ballast and they did but I was responsible for doing any rep[airs to my brand new bed. Keep in mind I am not a trained electrician or tanning bed repair guy so after 2 hours of youtube, I replaced the ballast onlty to find out its not the issue. Now, no response from warranty dept or salesman. My hand is sliced in 3 spots from the sharp plastic and my beds all over the place. You judge for yourself if you want this potential issue or not. I posted an actual video to show what you will be up against if your beds not working 100%. All parts are cheap loose or low end throughout the bed.

Broken bulb, missing knob and timer. But overall, great. I did have to visit a hardware store and buy replacement parts for the knob and timer. Neither Amazon or I could get in touch with the company to send me those parts. Amazon did offer to reimburse me for the the broken and missing parts. I didn't see the point when I maybe spent $8 to buy the missing parts. I haven't replaced the broken bulb as it works perfectly without it. Plus you can't buy just one bulb by itself. You have to buy a pack and that's more than I really care to spend right now.

This tanning bed is great. It was easy to assemble. I put it together by myself and I am a 118 pound female. It is small, but it's perfect for home use. Doesn't take up much space in our home. I can lay in the bed and get an even tan, but someone who is much larger might have more trouble. My husband uses the bed and has an even tan, he just turns during tanning to make sure he gets an even tan. The bulbs are great. I am an easy tanner, but the bulbs burt me after only 7 mins in the first use! I love this bed. The quality is great for the price. I had no problems with the shipping company. They were in constant contact with me and the bed arrived boxed and in perfect condition with all the parts. I love this bed! So glad I purchased it. I was a little hesitant, but I'm glad I did it!

Poorly packed, but delivery was on time. It was missing control knob, and no response after two attempts to get one. Sharp edges on the plexiglass that will cut and pinch as you try to get out. I tan easily, but it takes a minimum of 30 minutes to notice any change in skin tone. The lid is too light, and it will not stay down in a closed position. I had to tape a weight to the top to keep it closed when in use. Easy to assemble. I would spend a little more next time. You get what you pay for.

We just recieved the tanning bed yesterday, i just had Dental work done so, we will put it together today, the only problem i had SO FAR IS COMMUNICATION with the company, but the looks, etc of the tanning bed seem to be great especially for a home unit, i thought it wasnt gonna be curved but it is and plenty big enough for me who its for im only 5'11/2, small framed, even my hubby can get in it, all parts were shipped, timer, goggles, everythings there, just today MAY 1st, 2013 we are gonna put it together, cant wait, ive been holding off tanning so i need a tan, but me and my husband alone, carried it up the staircase to the second story its solid, heavy, buut we did it how it came 2 peices canopy, and bottom, then the box withe the stand and all the parts, made sure everything was there, it was, so i will update as soon as we get it together this evening after hubby gets off work, im excited my birthday present EARLY, its in June, but ill be tan by then wooooo hoooooo , pray all goes well in the putting together and all works well, so i can get my tan on,....Houston, Texastanning is getting so high, it will pay for itself this year for sure, got it on sale, wanted the one up but took a chance on this since i can do and tan at home, IM READY TO TAN, will update after together and 1st tanning session cant wait,......it does have a timer knob in case any one is wonddering, a 20 min timer as you see in salons, and WOLFF, i know wolff is the # 1 seller in bulbs etc, they are oob but still manufacter, get royalities off that wolff name, update soon to come from this happy texas woman, WELL I WAS SO ECITED TO GET IT, AFTER FIRST READING REVIEWS, FIRST TAN I TANNED 20 MIN ONE SIDE/ 20 OTHER, I USED A VERY EXSPENSIVE TANNING EXCELERATER LOTION BY DESIGNER SKIN, 1ST TAN NON TINGLE, DIDNT NOTICE MUCH, TILL 4-5 HOURS LATER, AND I KNOW ALL ABOUT TANNING IM IN MY 40'S, WORKED AT A TANNING SALON, FRIENDS OWN THEM, 2ND TAN USED MY TINGLE LOTION BT DES SKIN STEAMY CONFESSIONS, I WILL SAY 2ND TIME, I NOTICED THE BED GOT WARMER ACTUALLY SWEATED, AND DO SEE I AM TANNING, BUT BEING 100% CAJUN, I WAS WHITE CAUSE WAITING ON THIS BED, DIDNT WANT TO OR HAVE THE $ TO WASTE, I GOT MINE THROUGH lpi, inc,...called and acted like a different customer, first let me say, my salesman was NOT VERY INFORMATIVE, the girl i spoke to said you can upgrade to uvb bulbs if you want to BEFORE ITS SHIPPED WE WILL PUT THEM IN,....HE NEVER EVER TOLD ME THIS, AND ITS CHEAPER THAT WAY.....OR WE PAYED CASH, SO IF ID OF KNOWN I WOULD OF WENT WITH THE SOLAR STORM 16RE FOR A 100 DOLLARS MORE, ITS THE BED I REALLY WANTED, ASA THESE BULBS POOP OUT WILL BE GETTING UVB BULBS, BUT PROBALLY NOT FROM LPI, INC, TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE CUSTOMER SERVICE, AND ALL BEDS COME FROM THEM ALL IN ALL, THEY SAY TAKES 12 BUSINESS DAYS TO SHIP, EVERYBODY IVE INTERACTED WITH ON THIS BED, IT TOOK A MONTH AS IT DID ME AS WELL UNLESS THEY LIVE WHERE THEY ARE LOCATED, I LIKE THE BED BUT REALLY BLOWS THAT I HAVE TO TAN 20 MIN ON ONE SIDE, 20 ON OTHER, TILL THEY POOP OUT AND GET THE UVB BULBS, WHICH HE QUOTED ME THE PRICE 275.00 W/SHIPPING,......AS SAID IF I HAD KNOWN ALL THIS WOULD HAVE GOTTEN THE SOLAR STORM 16RE, ONLY 100 DOLLARS MORE, AND HARDLY ANY COMPLAINTS ON THAT BED, AND HE TOLD ME THE ONE I GOT WAS THE MOST, BEST SELLER,......THEY ALSO SAY THIS IS ON SALE THATS BS, ITS STILL ON SALE SAME PRICE SINCE easter WHEN I GOT MINE, I LOVE THE BED, JUST WISH THEY WOULD OF BEEN A LITTLE MORE HONEST, I WAS HESATANT, ALWAYS GO WITH YOUR GUT, BUT 3RD TAN USING DESIGNER SKIN TINLE STEAMY CONFESSIONS I GOT HOT, MAINLY FROM THAT IM SURE, BUT AM GETTING COLOR, BUT HAVE TO DO 20ON ONE SIDE 20 OTHER, WANNA BE TAN BY THE END OF MAY, WANTED TO BE BY MOTHERS DAY, MAY HAVE TO SNEAK TO THE SALON AND GET IN MY LEVEL 4 BED, WISH ID OF HAD THAT GIRL FOR A SALES PERSON SHE TOLD ME OF THE UPGRADING OF BROZING BULBS, I TAN EASYYYYYY, USUALLY 5 TIMES AND I HAVE A PRETTY COLOR, IM NOT A TAN ADDICT, I JUST LIKE COLOR, WHO DONT, WISH ID OF SPENT THE EXTRA 100 ON THE SOLAR STORM 16 BULB RE, FACE TANNERS, ARM TANNERS, FAN, FOR JUST 100 MORE, SO I WILL VOICE MY INPUT WITH BBB

I bought this bed almost a year and a half ago. I had to call continuously to ever get it shipped, and when it was shipped, it was shipped without the stand. I still have not received the timer knob after numerous attempts. Also, this tanning bed does not tan evenly and barely tans at all. The canopy does not open all the way, so it is very difficult to even get in this bed. I am completely dissatisfied with this product, the customer service is even worse, and I would not buy anything from this company again. In fact, we are calling tomorrow, again, to voice complaints about this purchase.

I bought this bed a week ago, was inpressed with the way it looked, but....i had to call the company because the hydrolics that open the bed wouldnt open the bed all the way!so i called the company and they said there having problems with these springs, that there sending out new ones, (not that i didnt spend enough on this bed already)!, we will see if they are true to there word. otherwise i like the bed, except that, I waited 3 weeks for the bed, now i have to wait for springs!:(,

awesome tanning bed, bed is so quiet, bulbs give you a perfect even tan, easy to put together, would recommend to anyone.
