Very comfortable
I'm not a gamer, I wanted a backlit keyboard and this was a good price. The keys are nice with a decent amount of travel, a good, but not too loud, sound for feedback and it is properly laid out so you can find the keys without looking. The magnetic wrist rest is a good idea and easy to disconnect. What is a bit odd is the decision to print the key labels the wrong way round - by which I mean the labels that would normally be at the bottom are at the top. So the £ sign is on the bottom of the key with the 3 at the top. Not a problem, but is a little off-putting when you look.

Sale price bargain. Will see wrt build quality and longevity
I purchased this last week from Amazon flash sale for £26.50. Arrived promptly the next day. Seems like new, unopened and unused package.Very easy to set up and you can download the software app from the AOC website to program the keys and backlit LED.The build quality of the keyboard is good. Nice and solid metal. The outemu mechanical keys feel nice and responsive. I was easily able to download the software control centre for this AOC keyboard. Changing the type of backlit LED was a breeze. I now have a nice, bright white LED.This is in stark contrast to a fake mech HP keyboard I purchased from Amazon two years ago, where I downloaded the HP software but I could not change the backlit LED colour. I suspect this HP 'sale' item was a faulty unit.Anyhoo, for the Amazon sale price of £26.50, I am really pleased. It is a great bargain, although I would not pay the full price of £55. I would rather put that £55 towards buying the AOC GK700 mech keyboard (I will buy it when it is on sale at a decent price). The only downside about this GK500 is that there seems to be input lag, mostly when I am doing online typing (and also typing on a word document). Not sure what is going on there. As long as there are no issues wrt gaming, then it is not a deal breaker for me. I will update my review if anything changes.

Very good keyboard
Very good keyboard, and especially for that price! It has a magnetic, detachable hand rest, and adjustable brightness for the keys, and i was really surprised by the quality of material and manufacturing! I am playing Skyrim and Fallout for hours, and never had any problem with keyboard, many other big brand, expensive keyboards are not even half quality of this one! Good job AOC!

Bought this to replace a Corsair K95
After buying a Corsair k95 which packed up after a number of not too many years I needed a new keyboard without being burned by the same price tag. For ref, the corsair was 250 euro and this I got for around 70 euro. I was unsure at first about the quality as this was roughly 1/3 - 1/4 of the price of keyboards I've previously bought but I must say I've been pleasantly surprised. It's sturdy, has all the same functions as the keyboard it replaces, the k95, and the switches are sharp and fast. It also looks beautiful. Trust me, just buy it. You won't be disappointed. The Corsair keyboard this replaces was indeed overpriced but this is a steal regardless.TLDR; I'm very fussy over keyboards and I love this keyboard. It is quality.

Bloody awful
The goodIt has a nice solid construction, RGB lighting, mechanical keys, physical media buttons - all premium features and amazing for the price. The badThe space bar sticks. Like, physically sticks down on around 1 in 100 presses. The media keys use normal keycaps (not dedicated buttons) and are wildly unintuitive. The whole thing looks awfully tacky. The volume dial and mute key are miles away from one another. The pre-programmed lighting programs are very flashy and mostly hideous. The USB cable is the most absurd, fat, brighly coloured thing imaginable. The caps lock is positioned exactly where I'd put my pinky to press the A key.I hate it. It's going straight back.

Good value keyboard
Moved from an old Dell membrane keyboard to this and can tell the difference. Good for gaming and typing. Came with spare Silver WASD keys you can swap on which look good. I keep the keyboard on basic white backlight. Works well.

A few issues...
First impressions upon opening the box were mostly good. The keyboard is a sturdy unit with nicely spaced out keys. Connection was painless and the backlight was nice and bright, my primary requirement. The keys have a nice action, not quite premium but close enough. However I soon began to have issues ranging from the annoying fact that the software (not supplied) referenced in the instructions has changed names and I spent forever trying to find something that no longer exists.Once installed, the software gives a range of overall pleasing RGB effects and control of rollover and other settings.I'm not a great fan of the font used on the keys. It makes certain letters look like they have worn out or been mis-printed.Then a few game changing issues turned up. Firstly, and straight out of the box, the delete key on my keyboard only works about 50% of the time. In my line of work the delete key is used constantly. Yes, I can turn of Num Lock and use the smaller, secondary Del key but this is a pain in the hole. Secondly, the keyboard has frozen several times now, requiring the USB connector to by pulled out and re-inserted.For these reasons the keyboard is now connected to another, little used system and I am spending a little bit more on something a bit more reliable.

I ordered used to save the planet
Received wrong key layout. I wanted long shift button.Very good value. I was on brown switches before and these red switches are fast with low actuation force, make me type faster.Wrist rest attached with magnet is neat.Illumination options plenty.Easy to clean design. If it had volume scroll it would be perfect.
