I have a Helikon Tek Swagman, which is a fantastic bit of kit. This is a very good and much cheaper substitute. It is made like GI poncho liners should have been made- with a hood so you can have an insulated waterproof garment and with a zipper so you can tuck into it like a sleeping bag. Very adequate for nights in spring through fall in temperate regions, good for wearing inside your sleeping bag in winter. I don't have a ton of gear that I would never leave home without, but this is something I am going to be putting in all my emergency bags and gifting to friends and family.

It is breathable and insulating and very water resistant of course not as good as a vinyl poncho but very good I have two and they will zip together to form a large bag for two people if needed. I will be purchasing more. Three of them would serve as a four season bag in South Carolina Winters. Three of them would provide perfect cover could even ditch the poncho and sleeping bag..

Outstanding product! I wish I had this under my wet weather poncho in the Army!

This a great concept. This is a true poncho liner. I cannot wait to test it out. I am a real happy camper.
