Cronic Automatic Shut Down Failures
I bought this Klipsch R-14M Bookshelf Speakers and Powergate Amplifier Bundle as a Amazon Daily Special for a 49.8% discount as calculated on the post Sale pricing for the bundle by Woot on Amazon. The bundle was sold by Woot and fulfilled by Amazon. I was very happy with all aspects of the equipment received and spent a good part of a day rearranging my living room to accommodate the system and connect it with the rest of my components via Phono, Bluetooth and Auxiliary inputs… which all worked fine. The sound was great to my untrained ear and I was really happy until the Powergate shut down without warning. Shutdowns would happen at varying intervals of 10 to 40+ minutes for no discernible reason. A push of the power button would turn it back on until the next shut down; after seemingly variable intervals. Ambient Room temperature in my living room is 68-70 degrees. This fatal flaw with the powergate left me disappointed and sad (especially, given the deep discount for the purchase) All I can say is… Thank you! Amazon for your return policy.

Excellent product for the half price Woot special
This did have issues automatically shutting off during use after 10-20 minutes, but once you update the PowerGate it resolves the problem.Currently set up with turntable going into the phono input, XBone to optical in, Networked to media server, and bluetooth from iPad.Sound is pretty good, connectivity options are excellent. Klipsch needs to get their act together on their Stream app that you can use to somewhat control this. I use the iOS app, and it is OK but there are a lot of minor bugs. Keeps telling me I need to update, but it is up to date for one.Purchased on the Woot sale and it was a steal. I would be disappointed with this product at full price.

Good System - Nice Combo for an Average-size Room with the Speakers
I was looking for a small amplifier that would fit on the top shelf of my Crosley ST75-CH Bardstown Entertainment Cabinet, Cherry . The Klipsch system works very well for this and puts out a lot of power for such a small system. As of one month in, I haven't had any issues with excessive heat generation or overheating like some users have claimed, despite being in the cabinet. I find that with the accompanying speakers, about 40-50% volume is enough to fill our living room with sound. While I have a dedicated preamp, it is nice that this system could hook up to a turntable without one. The Bluetooth connection also works very well for streaming Pandora from my phone. I haven't had a chance to try out Play-Fi yet.

Klipsch Blew It
The good:- This amp sounds great when attached to good speakers. I have a pair of Grafyx SP-6 on it right now, and they sound absolutely incredible.- Built-in phono pre-amp! Would have felt bad about buying a separate pre-amp if I was keeping the Powergate.- Sleek and compact look, fits great in my audio setup shelving with plenty of room to spare for ventilation.- So many connections! WiFi, LAN, Bluetooth, SPDIF, USB, and analog in would have all your bases covered. The bad:- This amp is under-powered. 100 watts per channel... at 4 ohms. So with my 8 ohm speakers (which is typical) I have to crank the volume to around 60-70% to fill my living room. On my cheap Lepai 20W amp on Monoprice bookshelf speakers (which sound merely OK) I had the volume around 30% normally, where 50% would be considered "damn loud." I still have a pair of Grafyx SP-10 in the garage, there is NO WAY the Powergate could fully utilize those despite all the marketing hype claiming it "can drive even the most difficult speaker."- Klipsch is really really bad at making mobile apps. The ugly:- The Bluetooth cuts out after walking about 10 feet away. I was trying to go show my girlfriend how cool the expensive new toy was, and the effort really fell flat when it stops working halfway down the hall. Strangely, our cheap promotional Bluetooth speakers have about 5x the range.- Powers off every 10-15 minutes or so. It's not getting hot, so I have no idea what they got wrong. I had the highest opinion of Klipsch since selling their gear at Best Buy 15 years ago... looks like they can put out bad products too.So the TL;DR on this product, more specifically the Powergate, is don't bother. It blew me away for about an hour before the numerous problems started manifesting, but the amazing upsides can't justify the crippling downsides and still justify a $500 amp. This is sadly being returned, my opinion of Klipsch has suffered greatly, and the whole setup is being replaced by a more powerful $150 Yamaha amp that will likely last years instead of hours. As a side note, I never did get around to opening the speakers. I'm sure they're great, but I only bought the combo because it was cheaper than the amp alone.

Bluetooth issues!
Bought two of these for my business and both had bluetooth problems cutting out. It was too late to return them so i had to buy a 3rd party bluetooth adapter to resolve cutout problems. Also Klipsch support is no help.
