Owning Jabra Hearing Aids I was looking into Auracast transmitters to connect to TV and Stereo systems. So I jumped the water and bought this bundle with headphones and a MoerDuo as a used device to compare.1. Setup. The Homespot bundle was easy to setup. It connected immediately to each other and my Pixel 8a. The MoerDuo was a different game. Not only is the MoerLab app crapp, the device needed several attempts to get it connected (important: it only works when device is in RX mode) it is also way more difficult to handle with 2 tap here and 3 taps there. Winner: Homespot2. Auracast connection. The homespot app QKAudio Connect is easy to understand and shows different Auracast broadcast to choose from. To my surprise (or not!) the connection with Jabra Hearing aids didn't work. After I contacted Homespot support I got immediately answered that a new version (V2) exist which will work with Jabra and they will forward one to me. It arrived from Hongkong after 2 days and connected without problems. The MoerDuo did not connect to Jabra as well, not solution, but did connect to the Homespot Headphones. Winner: Homespot3. Auracast sound quality. The Homespot broadcast is flawless and worked for me in the house in all rooms. The MoerDuo sound quality was disappointing. It as flat and disrupted with crackings in between even when next to the transmitter. Winner: Homespot4. Options. The MoerDuo comes with a mic to install in the 3.5mm port and it work fine as a companion mic. The MoerDuo also works as a receiver which I haven't tested. There are no options for the Homespot. Winner: MoerDuo5. Battery live. Both devices surpassed 10 hours which was my goal. Winner: par6. Support. Both companies answered support emails within one day. Homespot sent a new device within 3 days. Winner: HomespotSo my verdict is clear to buy the Homespot if you want to invest as an early adopter into Auracast. The bundle with Headphones comes priced the same as a MoerDuo is offered and at the moment it works much better in Auracast mode.

Since Bluetooth SIG released their standards for Auracast (in 2020), I have been looking forward to upgrading the assistive listening system for our small church auditorium. Few devices have been released to market as of 2024. This one showed some potential and I decided to give it a try.The transmitter provides a good range. They claim 300 ft (~100 m) for a broadcast range. This assumes little interference and no obstructions. I was able to pick up the broadcast up to approximately 200 ft (~65 m) from the transmitter, through one interior wall (gypboard) and one exterior wall (stucco). Our intended range is within the building and only half this distance.However, the broadcaster is still a work in progress. Settings cannot be changed through the app. Instead, the factory programmed broadcast name and password must be used. This limitation will make it more difficult to get users connected with their presonal devices. Tech support has also stated that connection to hearing aids is not yet supported (but is being worked on).For our purposes, input audio is provided from a headphone output from the sound system. Input level using the RCA or headphone cable is expected to be at a headphone level output. A line level output from an RCA or line out jack would be at a very low volume. (I have not tested the fiber optic audio connection.)The transmitter can also be used as an audio output device when connected via USB-C directly to a computer. I was able to use it this way and found it worked well. For our use, however, the latency (through video streaming software) would not work well for live presentations.The headsets, on the other hand, work very well. I was impressed with the frequency range. For their size (and cost), the headphones offer good bass sound. With volume set correctly at the input source, the headphones were able to provide very good volume levels, even for most hearing-impaired individuals.We have purchased two sets (so that we have a total of four headphones). Connection of the second set of headphones to the broadcaster from the first set was seamless and was completed very quickly.I was initially very concerned about tech support. Their website includes a forum that does not appear to be visited by tech support. Also, links provided for an online user's manual are not current. However, they do respond to the email address listed on their website.Update - April 2025: I’ve been using this system for nearly a year now in a church auditorium setting. We received the version 2 updated transmitter, and members with appropriate hearing aids have been happy with the sound quality. The headphones are still a great success. Overall, these work much better than our previous system, require less maintenance (or batteries), and offer much better sound quality—all in a less expensive package that the old system.My one remaining disappointment: You cannot rename the broadcast. Instead, it is factory set with random numbers. This can make it difficult to identify the correct channel if you use more than one (e.g. translation or neighboring rooms).

Finally an affordable Auracast solution. I'm upgrading from the Sennheiser RS120 wireless headphones (rf transmission, unlimited headsets) for use in a home theater. (You could set up a silent disco!)The JM320 headphones bundle are pre-configured with the included transmitter, so they will work out of the box. (If you want to add additional JM320 headsets, you will need the QKAudio Connect app. ). It's amazing how noise and interference free bluetooth Auracast is compared to RF transmission technology. The Sennheiser RS120 Headphones are better and more comfortable however, but the JM320 isn't too far behind.Currently as of 12/12/2024, the QK Audio Connect app does not support configuring the BA210 transmitter. Future updates will add the ability to configure the broadcasts. Currently, it's configured to broadcast encrypted. So if you want to change your broadcast name, encryption on the transmitter, it is not available. **Important note**: If you purchase other "Auracast" headphones to use with the BA210, ensure they have an bluetooth assistant app available, otherwise, you can't join them to the BA210 broadcaster. Overall, this is a glimpse at the future. Hopefully more devices will have Auracast support, like the AppleTV. (Imagine Spatial Audio via Auracast for more than 2 users).

Turn on the headphones and enjoy!!The best parts is that to switch from headphones to TV just increase the TV volumen and that is.Love them!!!
