BUBBA Long Nose Fishing Pliers with Non-Slip Handle, 8Cr13MoV Stainless Steel Jaws, Carbide Cutters, Crimper Tool, Coiled Lanyard and Synthetic Sheath

These are terrible. After 2 trips in my kayak, being rinsed after each use, they wouldn't even open. The internals of the pliers will corrode terribly quickly. I disassembled the pliers to have a peek and the center pin is stainless steel, but the mating surface from the other side of the pliers is very poorly machined raw aluminum. There is a large void inside that houses the spring (and water/dirt). I could not even design a more corrosion prone design.The teeth on the piers are removable. But they are loose and the pliers cannot even close all the way as the cutters prevent them touching. Also I had to torque down the removable jaws since the allen bolts were loose. Even with all the torquing the jaws stayed loose as the allen bolts are too long and bottom out before becoming snug. If that wasn't enough, corrosion builds quikly in between the removable teeth.In all these are terrible pliers. The best thing about the whole package is the lanyard.This was my first bubba blade purchase and I will NEVER buy another product with their name.

Worked great out of the box but after 2 fishing trips the carbide cutters don't line up and don't cut anything. I have $8 fishing pliers that have worked for a year now. Looks like I wasted my $.

The pliers are a very hard alloy and the hooks slip on the grip section. When you try to roll the hook out of the fish the pliers flex and stay in a flexed position, you have to press them back in place to re align the pliers. A bit of a let down considering how Great there knifes are for cleaning fish!

I’m very disappointed with these pliers. On paper they seemed excellent and out of the box they were smooth and closed evenly. I caught my first striped bass of the season at the cape cod canal and used them to get a hook out. The pliers made the job easier, but when I took them out the next day to make some new leaders, the pliers didn’t close evenly and would not grip the 60lb florocarbon I was using.

Disappointed. Tip flex and misalignment even when used for first time. I have cheaper and better fishing pliers than these purchased for a friend.

Well, Bubba blade pliers are not the same quality as Bubba blade knives...Less that two months and already rusting and one of the two pairs we bought has a twisted nose.The blade never would cut braid. Now I am ten days past return so will deep six them the next time offshore...amybe I can start a reef...

Save yourself the time and money.It broke the first week of lite use.

These pliers work excellent; they grip well and hold up against the elements.The holster and attached cord are necessary on the ocean.Get em and you won’t be disappointed
