Braun Compact Slide Tray for the Novamat M330 Viewer / Projector, Holds 50 Slides up to 2mm Thick.

Note: if you have the same issue I had on TWO of these trays in that the scanner often jams or has a missed scan on slide #25 (scanner arm slips past the slide) it is because there is some jagged black plastic in the #25 slot where the black plastic meets the white plastic. This particular issue didn't happen on the first 2 of these I used (and re-sold) the first time I was scanning slides. Maybe it is only on this batch of cartridges.Other than the #25 slide sticking I've had good results with this cartridge. I have used this cartridge in both the PowerSlide 5000 and the Braun Multimag Slidescan 4000 (the equivalent of the ProSlide 3650). The slides must be in good condition for them to load properly, for if they are bent then the scanner will jam when trying to store the slide back in the tray. When this happens you need to turn off the scanner immediately and either use a tweezers to reinsert the slide into the scanner and pop it out the top or just force the tray out of the machine, effectively ruining the slide that jammed because it bends it in half. I found that this tray DID NOT work on the PowerSlide 5000 scanner. With both cardboard mounted Kodachrome and thin plastic mounted (Ectachrome?) it would insert them into the machine OK, but they would jam on being put back into the tray. I assume the problem is that the slots are so narrow on the "compact" tray, that the scanner is not accurate enough when replacing them into the tray. (And it's not just slide #25). So I just wasted my money on that one.

The Power Slide 5000 is a fabulous way to get your slides cleared up, cleaned up and digitalized and the Braun Compact Slide Tray handles it better than the tray that came with Power Slide. Something to do with the thickness of the slides. If you have a Power Slide 5000 and the slides are glitching, try the Braun Compact Slide Tray.

I am sure that this is a fine item. it is, however, NOT for the Novamat M330 as advertised, it is for the Paximat series. It cannot and will not work in the model that it is advertised for.
