decent phone for the $
For the most part this is great. It takes a little getting use to to get your messages from the handset it is much easier to use the base unit. The base unit speaker phone works good I sit about 4' away from it at my desk and have no problem hearing people and they can hear me too. I like the belt clip on the handset it's so convenient. I never realized how much I used it until I bought a set of phones (also Panasonic) that didn't have them.

Lots of steps to use the features
To see who called, there are too many steps to find the caller and then erase the entry. Handy to have keyboard on the console, but the keys are not standard touch dial size. Otherwise it works as expected.

Good quality, decent battery life, good features
When I switched to VoIP, I needed a phone that has multiple handsets so I can still have the phone service in all my rooms. I bought this with 4 handsets almost a year ago and I have no complaints.Every handset has a speaker phone, and the base unit has the key pad + speaker phone (this was very important to me because I tend to "misplace" my handset and cannot find it when I need to make a call. The speaker quality is very good on the handset as well as the base unit. The range is decent - I have my base unit in one corner of the house (2nd floor) and when I go to the diagonally opposite end of the house to my 1st floor family room, people hear static and broken sentences - I think this is more to do with the # of walls the signal has to go through than the distance, because many times, I walk over across the street to my neighbor's house and take calls from there without any disturbance (this is farther). The battery life is adequate - I am on calls for a few hours every day - sometimes, the battery goes down but all I do is pickup the other handset and pop the one I am using into the charger.I have not used the answering machine on this phone as my phone company emails me the voice mail. This also has a port for plugging your 2.5 mm headset (most cordless phones now-a-days don't have this anymore). This is very important because sometimes I am on 4-5 hour calls and it is easier to have the headset so I can free both my hands or walk around in the house.Overall, I like this phone and am glad I bought it.

Good value
The phone is great. I love being able to set different ring tones for different callers because I am in a different room usually when it rings. The talking caller ID is difficult to understand unless you have a short easy name. I have two acres and can get reception anywhere in my yard. I am happy with this phone, I have had it for almost a year and no problems so far.

Barely Usable
I selected this phone because I wanted something with speaker phone and a long battery life. Unfortunately, the handset produces so much static that it is barely usable. In addition, Panasonic's telephone support is terribly frustrating to deal with. I will not be buying a Panasonic phone again.

Love it
I replaced my older Panasonic with this newer version hoping the battery life in this one is better. I wanted the voice caller ID and the built in answering machine. I like the fact you can see right away if you have calls rather then having to dial a number to get messages. The clarity in this phone is very good. I don't want to get rid of my land line because clarity is important to me, and cell phones "break-up" so often. I like that with missed calls, it shows the date and time the person called, but I wish the indicator light was darker and brighter. I only needed one phone for the kitchen, and Amazon was the only place I could buy one. Target and Kmart only sell multi phones. I would recommend this product.

Good phone with excellent features
I purchased this phone to replace an old-fashioned telephone that had essentially no features on it. All of the features on the new Panasonic phone - caller ID, ringer ID, answering system, speaker phone, portability, memory dialing - work fine. It does take a bit of effort to read the manual and to understand and to set up (where necessary) the various features. But, the effort has been rewarded by having a telephone that has essentially all of the features that one could wish for. Having had the phone for a short period of time, I cannot comment on how reliable it will be over several years of use.
