I recently bought the Hipa 308054043 carburetor to breathe new life into my old Ryobi blower. This blower had been sitting idle for a long time, and I was on the verge of giving up on it. However, this carburetor replacement turned out to be a game-changer.After installing the Hipa carburetor, my blower started working flawlessly again. It’s like I have a brand-new tool without the cost of buying one. The installation process was straightforward, and the results were impressive. This purchase saved me money and helped me reduce waste by giving my old equipment a second chance.I’m thrilled with the performance of the Hipa 308054043 carburetor, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to revive their Ryobi equipment. It’s a cost-effective solution that can extend the life of your tools, and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome.

New life for Old Ryobi engines
I have two Ryobi engines (one 26cc and the other 30cc) that use this carburetor and after 6 years, they were not running well at all. Simply replacing the carburetor brought them back to life. They now run strong and start easy. While a carburetor kit probably would have done the job, the price difference (really small) to me made getting whole carburetor the better choice. One question that was asked had to do with the number of screws holding the primer bulb on. The old carb on the 30cc Ryobi had four screws while the replacement carb here only has two. The number of screws holding the primer bulb plate is really immaterial. What matters is the number of bolts that mount the carb to the motor and the air intake. As shown in the attached pictures, the original carb in on the left and the replacement is mounted to the engine. My original had 4 primer bulb plate screws while the replacement only has two and the number of bolts being 2 that mount the carb to the engine and air intake are the same. This engine runs like new with the replacement carb.

Works on 2014 Ryobi RY28141
A friend gave me a 2014 Ryobi RY28141 (SS26. Whatever, it's just a TTI product) because he had a lot of issues with it and bought a new trimmer. Of course, the old carb struggled to start and run reliably, and it wasn't worth the time and effort to clean out a neglected carb. The direct replacement of the original carb for this model was a Walbro WT1059, which was a bit pricey. Took a shot with this one here, as it looks the same and has gaskets included. It fits without modifications (just a different color of choke lever--the original was gray). Installed it in less than 3 minutes and it works great, with great response to the throttle. No adjustment was needed on my end, though it will need it after it gets broken in. I'll just cut slots in the adjustment splines. You won't regret picking this up if your application is the same.

Good carb. Fits large "Pacman" screwdriver
Easy, direct swap for both my Homelite F2020 and Ryobi PLT3043A.The adjuster screws have a square notch cut into them rather than any of the common screwdriver profiles. A large "pacman" screwdriver will fit into this groove quite easily. The choke and throttle are connected on the back of the carburetor so when you set the choke, it also opens the throttle about 75%. It does look like this is removeable, but I can't be bothered removing it.

Works nicely with old Ryobi RY26000 power head
My 4yr old Ryobi RY26000 power head died away and I was about to purchase a brand new power head. Engine ran erratic despite new fresh fuel. The old carburetor looked ok from the outside, but there must have been gunk trapped inside after years of operation. I didn't have skills nor the patience to disassemble the carburetor and clean every little parts that came with it, just purchased the entire carburetor and replaced it. With hope and skeptism mixed, I pulled the engine string and in my second attempt, the engine came back to life, ran perfectly smooth thereafter. This was a huge cost saver and I am very happy. I liked the fact that this product also came with two gaskets, although I only used one that perfectly fit, and for the other side I reused the old gasket after wiping off dirt and old fuel.

and some good ol' fashioned basic mechanical skills
This carburetor DOES NOT fit a Ryobi CS30 trimmer. I read carefully the product info which said it did fit, but that is wrong. However, I do own a Dremel, and some good ol' fashioned basic mechanical skills. My Ryobi now looks ugly, a little Frankensteined, and rednecked but it runs great. Also in order to get this carb to work I spent $4 in new gas line. The original gas lines don't reach to this carb's fuel hookups, and the interior diameter needs to be smaller than OE fuel hoses. After cutting away much of the air filter cover and where the remote primer bulb had been on the original carb it isn't pretty but it eventually fit. I had to also port out the air intake opening where it attaches directly over the throttle plate because it was too narrow to allow the throttle plate to open fully. With a good Dremel or rotary tool that only took a few minutes. I also didn't own a "Pacman" carburetor adjustment tool. Upon finally getting this thing installed it needed tuning. I tried hemostats, needlenose, 7 level screwdrivers... Ended up spending $7 on the Pacman tool here on Amazon. 36 hours later it showed up and I was able to get it easily tuned and running great. So $12 carb, $11ish dollars in parts and the 10 year old Ryobi runs like a champ. So beware if you own the Ryobi CS30 this won't be a quick 20-30 minute job. I'll attach a couple of pictures if that will help anyone, because apparently after much searching there is no OE type carb for our trimmers, this type is the only option at this time (Apr 2018).

Replaced my Homelite ST-185 carburetor.
I had to modify the choke handle a bit and the air box as well. However I was unable to find a carb for my very old Homelite ST-185 string trimmer. After a few mods this carb actually works better than the original. When you engage the choke to start the motor it advances the throttle a bit and disengages the choke as soon as you give it some throttle when the motor starts, awesome! This means you don't have to deal with choking to start the motor only to then kill the motor until you turn off the choke and pull start it again. I love it.
