Maybelline New York Master Camo Color Correcting Pen, Green for Redness, all, 0.005 Fl Oz

My esthetician taught me to use this shade first before applying concealer due to my very dark circles under my eyes. Wish I had known about this much sooner. Effective in reducing the look of dark circles.

Helps hide the dark circles

I have light medium skin (winter) with neutral to yellow undertones. I currently wear the shade light beige in the Too Faced Born this Way foundation if that is any help.After applying my primer, I use this sparingly on my dark circles, dark spots (acne scars), and the corners of my mouth where I have darkened/dull skin (most likely from hormonal breakouts). It blends out best with your fingers, as I found using a brush or beauty blender budges it too much and absorbs the product. I then set the corrector with a translucent powder before applying my foundation as I find it helps to keep it in place just a little bit more. I like to blend my foundation with a brush, and it does still end up moving the color corrector just a bit. But I make sure to be extra careful in those spots. If the corrector still shows a little under the foundation, I add a little more to carefully blend over and that helps to cover it up. For under my eyes, if it shows a little I'm not too worried, since I still apply a highlighter/concealer (Maybelline Instant Age Rewind in Neutralizer) over it and then voila, the corrector is gone.I do use this daily and have liked how it has enhanced the effect of my concealer on my dark circles. I tried going back to just the concealer without color corrector underneath one day and I was not happy!As convenient as the pen is, the spin-click applicator is a real pain. You'll do a couple twists and nothing comes out, then do just one more and a whole load of product comes pouring out unexpectedly--always way more than you need. When there is too much product left over, I have to carefully replace the cap to use for the next time I do my makeup. Also, I'm wondering if I just got a defective pen or if this is a normal thing (I sure hope not), but the text on the pen itself has been melting onto my hands. For the last few days I kept finding black ink on my fingers and didn't realize until today that it was from the color correcting pen. See the attached photo for evidence.Would LOVE if this color corrector just came in a regular bottle with a doe-foot applicator. So much simpler!

I thought it would bring back shine to my under eyes and high cheek bones diminishing the red formed from old age but it doesn’t. It cost too much and was not happy with it.

If you have darker circles under your eyes, and this color corrector is a game changer. You do have to know how to use it correctly and have the appropriate concealer and foundation to blend in to make your foundation look natural. I highly recommend it and is a very smooth texture easy to use and can be blended very well.

I used the product last year and liked it, when it was over i ordered a new one and i have had the worst reaction ever. Have irritation and puffy under eyes, its been 5 days without applying anything else on my skin around except coconut oil to heal. It has still not improved.

I recently splurged on a bottle of Born This Way matte foundation that I purchased online. Choosing the color was difficult, as always, since there is no store near me that carries this and I haven't found a shade yet that matches me to buy similar.The bottle came and the coverage is nice, but too yellow toned for my skin. A friend recommended blue or lavender drops and send me a link to this.I was so pleased when I switched a side by side on my hand. The left is my foundation and on the right, next to it, is using this lavender pen first. It came out a little splotchy but blended so well to match my skin tone that it is barely visible. Thankfully my expensive cosmetic purchase is saved!

This pen is a great addition to my make-up routine. The blue brings creases and shadows forward. I lightly line my deep creases, blend it in and then add foundation. Diminishes the wrinkles and fine lines. The pen makes it easy to target where you need it.
