Works great and has captured package thieves!!
Love these cameras! Super easy installation. Great phone app! You can't beat the features and the ability to adjust the viewing zones. motion sensitivity, IFR, and lighting. The camera is good, and the wifi is capable of working a greater distance from my router than I expected. Overall, I don't think you can get a camera as as good as the TAPO for the price. The only thing different I would have done was purchase the 4k cameras.

Says outdoor camera yet has an adapter plug in ??
UpdateThese have been great cameras they do lose connection freq but usually will connect back on there own sometimes, I like the functional saved position options also the talk back features capture features like most cameras now but these are good with clarity at nite I can't get the flood lights to work. Overall happy with them the sd card captures footage and loopsRecommendedI'm confused,I thought I was buying a hard wired camera that I could hard wire into my porch light for now to use as security camera, and it came with a plug ??How is this an outdoor camera as instructions say to not get plug wet etc and should be plugged in indoors,Disappointed that there are no bright flood lights like my other cameras from other brands less expensive, and it does not seem to have a color option and seems to be only black and white, the nite vision was ok and has a good distance however the alarm strobe light is useless imo as it is a tiny light that blinks, the alarm on high volume is too low, the adapter plug has a 10ft thin cord it has sd option like all the other cameras do and 2 way talk, it says, have not tested that yet, but cannot find a color option all cameras have this now so I do not see why this one doesn't, I am going to test it for the next 25 days and if it doesn't function well will return it I guess, but I wish they would be more clear about how it is called an outdoor camera yet instructions says not to get adapter wet, set up was not difficult, they all work the same, the Alexa app has it listed as Alexa compatible and I linked it to the app, but overall compared to one I bought that has dual cameras on one for only 16.00 I do t think it is better or worth the extra $It doesn't detect things as I think it should we tested it multiple times, I put sensitivity up high . Either way it's a disappointment when I thought I could wire it into my porch light wiring. So far it is working well has good night vision and even tho black and white and has no flood lights etc it serves it's purpose and tracks motion very well .

Technical-competency depth of cameras' rich features hidden by shallowness of instructions
After much investigation as to which home security camera system would best suit my requirements, I decided on a collection of the following models: the C520WS Outdoor Pan/Tilt, the C320WS, and the C210. The Amazon reviews were quite helpful for these investigations.I did have some trouble with installing the outdoor cameras (i.e., the C520Ws and the C320 WS), but only because the power adapter plug in the box was not designed to fit within a standard outdoor waterproof power gang box. After more research, I ordered a different, compatible power adapter plug to install these cameras. Others have pointed out this problem. But, after that, the installation process was very easy to follow and complete.Setting up the cameras and programming them for their intended operation was not so easy; it was a lot of frustrating trial and error. Without any instructions on how to do this, I could not find a way to eliminate the numerous false positive detections and was coming to the conclusion that these cameras were going to be unusable. So before boxing them up and sending them back to Amazon, I decided to call the TP-Link hotline for Tapo to be sure. I am so glad that I did. The fellow on the line was very patient with a now-frustrated customer and calmly took me step by step to first understand the basics of setting up the Home mode and Away mode. I was completely botching this step. He understood my frustration, though, and said that they needed to do better at providing instructions to their customers for discovering, understanding, and optimizing these settings.Okay, after all of this, why the five-star review? I have concluded that once you do understand the Tapo way of doing things, you discover just how wonderfully robust and adaptive these cameras really are. Moreover, in getting to that understanding, you also discover just how well Tapo Technical Support has your back.I am not longer getting any false positive detections in the Away mode. My confidence is growing with each passing day that I purchased the best system for my requirements. So, if you are facing the same issues that I have described here, I recommend you get in touch with Tapo technical support right away. Finally, I will say that these cameras are very cost-effective when you compare them with competitive alternative systems.

Great Cameras - Awesome App
Enter Tapo cameras. Easy to set up. Great app features. The Tapo app is extremely easy to understand and is thoughtfully designed. Tp-link actually manufactures the Tapo productsThe cameras themselves are good. Good clarity and great night time vision. I appreciate the ability to insert a physical micro sd card for video storage. You aren’t forced into some cloud serviceThe motion tracking option isn’t bad (it’s not great though often moving too slow to keep up with the target)It's a nice camera, it has a lot of nice features. It has a line crossing detection feature, as well as person, pet, motion, vehicle, and camera tampering detection. And the picture quality is really nice.CONS.My only complaint isi got vehicle detection off if a car passes it doesn't activate motion detection day time ,at night when it's dark a car passes by with its headlights on trigger motion detection should not activate if it is off.that's why I gave it 4 stars if you live in an area where not many cars pass by at night I don't think you'll have problems.the vire should be longer the white the one attacked in the camera so if you have a place to hide like in my case,it would be more convenient, microphone is not of great quality when is wind that's all you hear.Overall, I'm happy with the C520WS and its ease of integration, even if the lens isn't quite what I expected.
