I spent a month checking out single serve coffee makers...it was impossible to find what I was looking for. I was really surprised, and only the Casara coffee maker checked every box.I wanted one that makes coffee very hot, a small footprint, great tasting coffee and very important, a timer! Nothing like waking up to the smell of fresh coffee!I had never heard of this brand and was a bit skeptical. However, although I have only had it two days, it has surpassed my expectations. The unit is very simple to use, efficient, and makes very great coffee. I usually make my coffee in a funnel pouring water slowly over it...that technique makes excellent coffee? However, I wanted a cup to be waiting for me when I woke up...this was the perfect unit.Also, the cup that comes with it works extremely well. It stays cool on the outside and the coffee is hot when I drink it. The only downside is if you turn this cup upside down it leaks a little from the cover. Since I never hold my cup upside down when I am drinking, this small issue has not affected me, but you should be aware of it.As I have only had the coffee maker 2 days, I will update my review if anything relevant happens. Try it, I don’t think you will be disappointed. Oh, did I mention it is very easy to clean?!

Slim size, clear display, easy to use timer, great stainless steel travel mug, fast, not louder than any other coffee maker I've ever used, coffee is piping hot and tastes great.The built-in reusable filter works fairly well, but I prefer to add paper filters. A previous commenter recommended #185 filters, but they're too large. Size #1 filters are designed for one-cup coffeemakers like this.

The media could not be loaded. The coffee pot is perfect. Love the timer function. I removed a star due to the mug that comes with it. I was looking for a small coffee maker that I could program so that I could have a hot coffee waiting for me when I woke up. Being the only coffee drinker in the house, I didn't need a big 12 cup coffee maker and none of the smaller coffee makers were less than 5 cups minimum. This little coffee maker is the diggity!!! It makes 12 Oz. of coffee perfectly. The only downside is the cup it came with 1. Does not fit in the coffee maker with the lid on, and 2. Doesn't work well to keep the coffee hot for very long. I searched Amazon for an insulated coffee mug that would fit, as well as allow me to leave the lid on (because I have an issue with leaving things sit on the counter without a lid) .. ya, you guessed it, there are 3 asscats in my house and they get into everything. Ok, back to the search .. I stumble across this SANTECO 12 0z. mug and right away I go for the measurements section ... and HECK YES, it will fit!!! So, the SANTECO arrives, and I rip the box open like a kid on Christmas Morning! First impressions, this thing is solid,,, and it's cute as all get out. Time to do the fit check ... and perfect.So the coffee pot with timer coupled with the Santico coffee mug is the perfect match!!

I haven’t used the program setting yet, but I will update this review when I do. At the moment, I’m waiting for school to start up again and am slowly getting on a sleep schedule before then.First things first, I’m a coffee wimp. I drink blonde roasts, and I like it pretty weak. I only started drinking coffee when I started going to college while still having to work. This machine calls for four tablespoons of ground coffee if it isn’t super fine. Today, I put in two tablespoons and it was still too strong for me. If you’re someone that loves strong coffee, rejoice.The travel cup that is brews into is amazing. It is metal all the way through, instead of having a different material on the inside and a seam between the two that can grow mold. If you’ve ever looked for travel mugs and read the reviews, you know what I’m talking about. On the first day of using this coffee maker, I had to pour half of my coffee into a mug because I forgot to leave enough room for my milk. Oops. The mug got cold relatively quickly, and I expected the same thing to happen with the mug. Not the case. It was still hot long after. Despite the heat of the coffee, the outside was still cool to the touch.The mesh basket is made of a similar material to a nut milk bag, and no grounds get through, no matter how fine.If you’re an exhausted college student looking for a coffee pot for just you, I cannot recommend this enough!***Update***Oh goodness. I completely forgot to update this. So, a few things:It comes with a scoop! I kept seeing this black plastic thing floating in the water tank and thought maybe it was a water level gauge or something. I finally decided to reach in and grab it. It was a scoop. I now use just one of these scoops when I make coffee, and it is perfection.I have used the program setting. It does exactly what it should. I can wake up to the sound and smell of fresh brewed coffee. I’m a happy camper. Oh, and somehow I no longer hate coffee. So, yeah, if you’re just one person, buy this already. The only issue I have had is that the little foam foot fell off of the bottom of the cup. Of course, that’s probably because I throw the cup and the filter into the dishwasher every so often. But guess what? It doesn’t need that foam foot. The cup is just fine without it.Oh! And I’ve used normal mugs with this, too. Sometimes I just want a small cup of coffee and I’ve already put the cup that comes with it in the dishwasher. Pouring a mug of water into the tank can be a little messy, but it works.
