How do these tascam th-03 headphones compare to the tascam th-02 headphones? what is the difference between the models? thanks.

The TH-03 has a better quality build. Especially the ear pads. The TH-02 ear pads are junk. Spend the extra $5. It’s well worth it. Plus, I found the 03 has a bit better clarity (especially in the highs) and the build quality overall is better. They are very good for the price.

I don't think the 03 is made by Tascam. If you go looking on Tascam's site, they don't list them as a product. I ended up getting the 02's since they are sold by Tascam.

is it good for directional awareness in games?

Very good headphones. I use them at work for noise reduction and great sound value.
