Q: I have wavy curly hair and am scared of too much heat! Anyone find this too hot even on low? Do you have to hold down cool shot button?

I found lowest heat setting to be some what hot. Not as much as regular hair dryers I've had in the past. As my hair gets drier the lowest heat setting is a bit too hot so I just make sure I don't hold it close to my head then. I love this hair dryer and I've had numerous dryers during my life time. I'm 64 so that's a lot of dryers! This is my favorite one of all.

Q: how does the diffuser attach to the dryer?

It just twists on but the dryer stopped working after 4 months.
