How wide is the tray if i want hold a large, thick, loose leaf binder of music

It is 1-7/8”. I use a 3” binder and have no problem. The stand is very sturdy.

Can you move the rubber clips?

If you mean the clips that hold the music in place, yes, they have a full range like a windshield wiper. They are fixed to one axis point, but can be moved in a sweeping motion either way using that point as the axis.

How hard is it to assemble? I would be taking it to different locations & need to be able to assemble and then take down.

Assembly is very easy. I put mine up and back into the bag all the time. The bag is large enough for some sheet music.

Will it hold a laptop computer?
