How should I open the badge to put cards in?

You need to make sure the badge reel or lanyard and badge holder are separated. Then slide lightly the back of the holder, put your cards in badge holder and push the back holder down. Just attach the badge holder and lanyard or reel at the end.

Is the lanyard breakaway?

No. Our lanyard is detachable but not breakaway. So when you need to use the card, you can just partially remove it without bending over or removing it from your neck.
