Can someone tell me how to reset the energy count?

Hello. The "Chinglish" instructions are as follows. Step 1: Long press the key until the power display area display "clr", then release the key. Step 2: At this moment, the energy is flashing to prompt this is the energy reset state, if short press the key again, then the energy value is cleared and exit the reset flashing state. Step 3: If there is no operation within 5 seconds, it means the energy value is not cleared and will exit the reset state. Hope that this helps.

Does it matter which way up the shunt goes. For instance, the writing on the side does it face up or down or does it not matter.

The shunt can be wired on the positive or negative feed wire, it's position does not matter, just cover the terminals with insulating tape or duct tape. Hope this helps. I have found it very useful for monitoring power usage from the battery. I use another meter with the shunt built in to monitor what my solar panel puts into my battery so the readings combined give me an accurate daily figure of how much battery power I have available.

what is the voltage accuracy at around 25volts (counts)

I use this meter on a 12 volt caravan system linked in to a solar panel for charging the battery and a second unit fitted on the usage side, I have checked voltage displayed with a quality multi meter and both have showed the same readings, I'm very satisfied with the performance and accuracy of both units. I imagine that it should perform equally well on other voltages within it's operating rang as it is doing on my setup.

How would this be wired in to a 12v system? Mine has arrived but without instructions it isn’t very clear?
