Microshift Arsis 10 Speed Carbon Groupset....love the quality & design....
Well, I read other reviews around the web on this top-end Group (shifter groupset: Shifters, Both Derailleurs & cableset), and they sure sounded positive.I noted that Team Exergy - a Pro Cycling Team, is fully outfitted with these Microshift Arsis Groupsets. The Pro's won't use any equipment what won't give an advantage or that gives any thing away to competitors.Plus, I had bought the more entry level 9 speed microshift shifters from Nashbar - 9 speed group - probably equivalent to Shimano Tiagra / 105 or Sram Apex / Rival, and used it for 2 years, and was very satisfied with it's performance. This lower end group exhibited excellent design & durability. Perfect, predictable shifts every time.(The only 'hiccup' was when a front der cable housing delaminated, causing the inner cable to bind ! Not the shifters fault at all. install new cable housing, perfect shifting restored...)So, all this gave me the confidence to try this top end Arsis Group - and I'm glad we did. It's absolutely beautiful in terms of engineering & quality. All the parts are even more robust than the lower group I'm so familiar with. Microshift has upgraded the brake hood contours, making the hoods (where the riders hands rest) feel slightly thicker & more satisfying to grip. (felt very much like SRAM Force shifters)The shift paddle throws are direct & satisfying. A bit shorter than my other units, so it shifts quicker. Upshifts are confirmed by a distinct feedback, a nice click. The Derailleurs - the rear especially, are works of machining art. It was very satisfying to work the Rear Der in it's various arcs of movement & feel the strength & precision built into it.A reviewer elsewhere said the quality & design of this Microshift Groupset are on a par with DuraAce or SRAM Red.After closely examining these components & test riding after my son installed them on my Ridley road bike, I agree - the quality here is top notch. The value here is unbeatable. My son & I priced out SRAM Force Shift Groupset & it was $ 530 ! This Microshift Group was just $ 309 - and this is a quality level above Force, more like Red.The only explanation is that SRAM (or Shimano) are the 'big dogs' and can get whatever they ask, price wise. Microshift is the upstart company that offers quality products at attractive prices to gain a following. Just what us 'budget challenged' bike racers need.....!My only quibble & caution is that the Front Der is a 'braze-on' style, so if you need a 'clamp style' attchment, you'll have to obtain a correct size Universal braze-on adapter clamp. Most LBS will have them....or order here at Amazon. (Most road bikes are either 31.8 or 34.9 mm size, fyi...)I will update the review as miles add up. We regularly log 5-6,000 miles per year, so we will have the opportunity for a longevity test.Additionally, my son is a nationally high ranked 17 y/o road racer, so he really hammers the equipment. If it can be broken or worn out, he can certainly apply the pressure to find the weak spots !

Bought in October 2013. The right shifter started skipping down from the 5th to 3rd cog. Would not go the 4th. Would go the 4th on the up shift, but not the down shift. Emailed vender, said they would replace but never did. Boo!!

Good product....
But the instructions stink. I had to Google the company and watch their videos to put it together right. The videos stink as much, they got some low IQ 9 year old girl narrate them, but they're better than nothing.

Light and does the job
Let's face it, getting the chain from one gear to the next isn't exactly rocket science. This groupset is light, reliable and it gets the job done. I also like the positive feedback that I get from using the buttons to switch gears. There's no question as-to whether or not you clicked to up or down.

Can't go wrong
This is my 3rd set of microSHIFT. These have some small updates that are big. shifting is a bit quiter. the hoods feel better and have some rumple strips on them as well as on the shifter button too. For the price and the weight. These are unbeatable.

Good stuff
Was attracted to product due to weight and price. Intended use is cross racing. Have only used for 1 race but so far so good. The bike came in at a good weight after build which pleased me. Bought the carbon CX frame at pricepoint.
