Ninja Mega Kitchen System (BL772)

This is a fantastic blender/smoothie maker/food processor. Although I haven't tried to make dough or anything really complicated out of it yet, it does an excellent job of making typical morning smoothies. I've tried putting all different types of fruits, protein powder, milk, juices, seeds, ice cream, yogurt and other food stuffs in it and hit the start button on this machine and within 90 seconds or less, I have a wonderful smoothie.What I particularly like about this model is that it has a very easy and effective pour spout on the top of the lid. You don't have to 'unlock' the whole lid to pour the smoothie into a glass. Plus the lid locks in place so you can place the remainder of the smoothie in the refrigerator right in the blender itself for later use.Please be warned that the blades on this machine are DEADLY SHARP. I did not take this into consideration when I was taking the blades out of the dishwasher and accidentally grabbed the blade by its side and ended up with a rather severe cut on my thumb...not enough to require stitches, but one that reminded me to be very, very careful in the future.The only downside of this machine is that it takes up a lot of counter space and that the accessories need some room as well. Also, learning how to get the 'red light' (the signal that the blender is ready and in place properly) to start to process the food is a bit tricky at first...the only problem with this is that you may already have all the food in the blender and if the blade is not secured properly, you have to empty the contents and start over. I recommend trying to put the blender together empty a few times and test it to see if you can produce the 'red' READY light first before putting food into the blender for the very first time.All in all this is a great buy and the price here at Amazon.Com as of August 21, 2015 is one of the best around.

I have had this for about a week now. I initially was looking for a better single serve type system that did a better job producing smoother protein shakes and smoothies. The single serve maker I had wasn't very good at blending ice and fruit. I would often have clumps of fruit left at the bottom of my cup and if using a straw was very frustrating trying to drink. The Ninja System does an excellent job of blending my shakes no matter the size of the ice cube or fruit. I have used the blender and the food processor as well with great ease. I have not yet tried the attachment that apparently mixes and kneads dough. I technically did not need a new blender and/or food processor but the price at the time of my purchase of this mega kitchen system was ridiculous that I couldn't pass it up. I am grateful that I didn't pass it up because the quality of the product that comes from using this machine far exceeds the systems I had had. This is easy to use and my 14 year old son is making better choices as far as nutrition. He tells me everyday, "We need to try out a new smoothie." So he pulls out the fruit and yogurt and other healthy choices and blends away. I did have an issue with the company that was shipping my Ninja System (Shopwise); they cancelled my order stating it was damaged, that this was their last one in stock and couldn't very well ship a damaged one so they were refunding my money. I was disappointed and immediately went online to see if anyone else was selling this system for a good price. Lo and behold the same company that was originally shipping my system did indeed have it in stock but at a MUCH higher price. I immediately emailed Shopwise asking if they would fulfill my order at the original price I purchased it at; that I see they have it in stock. Their response was that they already refunded my money and I would have to reorder when it was in stock. IT WAS IN STOCK! I had also emailed Amazon explaining this matter and they came through for me! They price matched Shopwise's price and even gave me two day shipping. Grateful to Amazon for serving their customers with excellent customer service! Not so happy with Shopwise and will probably steer clear of anything else being shipped from them. I had wanted to give them another chance; I emailed them back asking one more time if they would honor their original price (even though Amazon already took care of this) and I have yet to hear back from them. Overall I am satisfied with my purchase and Amazon!

Made processing food really easy! We will enjoy this for years! Hope that all will want one and use it like crazy!

works great after all these years

As of 4 months my has quit working, not worth the money. And it is not even eligible for a return. I am disappointed by Ninja and Amazon.
