Avallon AWC151DZLH 23 Bottle 15" Dual Zone Built-In Wine Cooler - Left Hinge

I bought this and the 24" wide Avallon fridge that goes down to 34 deg. After about a year and a half, this unit stopped cooling. It would only get down to about 62 deg top and bottom, and the compressor was hot to the touch. All that indicates low coolant. Avallow officially warrants these for 1 year, and 5 yrs for the compressor. I contacted their support (yes, long hold times, but worth it - you eventually get a human). I worked with Joshua and Terri. They were absolutely great! They listened to my story, and understood that my issue was very likely a slow coolant leak since the day it arrived, likely from shipping damage. The story ends with them sending me a new unit, even though I was officially just outside my warranty period. Love these units for their appearance and quality feel. But more importantly, I'm so glad to have dealt with a company that takes care of their customers!

The compressor died just short of the 5-year warranty. The good news is that Avallon sent me a new one. The bad news is that I could not find anyone who would install it. Avallon does not have anyone in the Twin Cities that services their product. I contacted a dozen companies to see if they could install the new compressor. No one would. I would not recommend this company or product.

Nice looking and very functional unit. The only downside is the vertical spacing for bottle storage, only traditional size wine bottles fit nicely and there is some noise. Other than that, I’d recommend this to people - it’s a nice quality unit.

We ordered the wine cooler and it arrived with stainless steel door scratched in multiple places. Arranged a third party return and ordered a replacement. The replacement also arrived with stainless door scratched in multiple places. Only allowed to return once and reorder once. So after second time being shipped a product with scratches on stainless steel door, we were unable to reorder. Have to look for a wine cooler elsewhere now. Very frustrating. The wine cooler was packaged in a box inside a box so must be shipped from manufacturer scratched or we are getting returns of damaged product sent to us. Again, extremely frustrating.

Just installed this wine cooler about two weeks ago. I bought it for two reasons, it got good reviews and it had the option of right or left opening door. I needed a left opening door. The reviews also said the unit was quiet and it is. A low hum sometimes but it is quieter than the new frig. Absolutely the right choice for my kitchen.

Lasted 2.5 years before it died. Fixing it cost way too much. On the hunt for a new wine cooler from a different manufacturer.

Pro: Great unit. Solid racks to hold win.Con: The fan is louder than expected for the price paid. The temperature light is very bright at night.

Works and looks as good as our old uline. Only complaint is that there is a blue light that shows the temperature and it can't be turned off. It's quite bright in my otherwise dark kitchen.
