Kitchen Mama Can Opener
This is a great product, easy to use, easy to clean and functional. It really helps in the kitchen as you can start the opener going and you know by the sound when it's opened the Can. It also has a magnetic part that enables you to remove the Can top and it leaves a smooth edge.

Great item
Already used a few times since purchasing and is very easy to use. The blue is a nice colour too, big improvement from our old can opener that hasn’t worked properly for years. Only reason have put 4 stars is because it’s a bug bear of mine that new items don’t come with batteries for first use, otherwise would be 5.

Works Brilliantly — Just Read the Instructions!
The media could not be loaded. Sadly, there are a few reviews saying this can opener doesn’t work. Honestly, most of those complaints likely come from people who didn’t read the instructions or struggled to grasp how it operates — probably not the right angle for “Bob.”This device is fantastic and will quickly become your girlfriend’s new Bob.But there are a few key things to be aware of:1. Starting Bob: Place the opener on the can and press the button — don’t hold it in place. Let Bob do the work. I saw a video review where someone completely misused it, clearly without reading any instructions.2. Stopping Bob: To turn it off, press the button again and wait 2–3 seconds. It stops on its own.3. Short Skirts Warning: If the can has a very short “skirt” (the curled edge), Bob might struggle. You may have to restart it once or twice. I only ran into this issue once, with a John West mackerel ring-pull tin.Aside from that, it’s a beast — cleanly opening cans by separating the lid at the curl. I've tested it on baked beans, tuna, corned beef, and fillet tins. Only one tin gave it trouble, and even then, it nearly managed it.Why I bought it: Every manual can opener I've ever had eventually failed — working once or twice, then twisting out of shape or just becoming useless. This thing works every time.Highly recommended. Just follow the instructions and Bob will never let you down.

Disappointing and very poor quality
The first time I used this it worked really well and I was initially pleased with the opener. However just on the second use it would only go around but not open the can. Tried everything but still not working really disappointed. I then noticed some of the cutting mechanism was loose. Returning for a refund.

Finally an electric can opener that actually works!
I needed it for my mother who at 86 has trouble with a manual tin opener. I had tried a couple before for myself and found they were more trouble than it was worth, so I spent some time researching this before buying and it seems it worked. It's a solid unit, and well designed - easy to operate and much more comfortable to use than a manual tin opener. It's had no issues opening cans, the cutter is sharp and while it's a little more expensive than some of the others I've tried, it's worth paying a little more for one that does the job.3 months in and still going strong - my mother is very happy.

Easy tin opening
Tin openers have never been my friends, so the Kitchen Mama electric version caught my eye. It runs on four AA batteries; you set it on the lid, press the button and it trundles round the rim on its own, slicing from the side and leaving a blunt edge. One press sets it off, a second press stops it, and the lid lifts away cleanly. On the plus side, it spares my wrists and means the four-year-old can’t slice her fingers on sharp metal. It has coped with every ordinary can we have tried, and the little motor shows no sign of giving up. In the middle ground, it hums louder than I expected and the plastic casing feels a touch flimsy. As for grumbles, there are no batteries in the box and it can take a moment to latch on to smaller tins.Even with those niggles, the convenience and tidy cut win out, especially if you have arthritis or, like me, big clumsy paws. I would prefer a sturdier build, yet the smooth edges and hands-free action still make it decent value.
