Our first purchases for our new backyard are a small patio set and a cantilever umbrella, along with this umbrella base and a Bluetooth light with speaker - all from Wikiwiki. We are thrilled with all three Wikiwiki products! We filled the umbrella base with both sand and water and it holds the umbrella in place very well, even with the strong breezes we get in our backyard. The base consists of 4 separate pieces that are easy to fill and place. We filled ours with about 1/3 water and 2/3 fine sand and used a funnel to more easily pass the sand through the opening. If you need to move the umbrella, you can easily move each piece of the base to relocate your umbrella. We are very happy with the umbrella, base, and speaker/light - so much that we are purchasing another set - and will purchase a third set, if needed after the backyard is completed! We highly recommend these Wikiwiki products. Wikiwiki provided us with their telephone and email contacts in the product packaging. We already reached out to let them know how much we like the products and they responded immediately.

This one was a little more expensive than some of the others but I wanted to be sure it would fit with my wikiwiki umbrella. We mixed sand and water in each of the squares to make sure we had enough weight and it is holding the umbrella with no problem.

I usually don’t write reviews but I received the wikiwiki weighted base and 2 of them are leaking. I’m hoping you will read this review and send me 2 new weighted bases so I don’t have to have the hassle of returning the items. I no longer have the box it came in. Please let me know if there is anything possible you can do to help resolve this issue. Outside of the issue with the 2 damage bases I received I think they will hold up well and support the wikiwiki umbrella I purchased with it. Got this to be base for patio umbrella. Works fine but needs lots of space

The Compact Base (230 LBs) works great with my wiki Series S cantilever 8.2’ patio umbrella. I found that cutting the bottom off of a 64 ounce widemouth juice bottle made for a perfect funnel for getting sand inside the base. The bottle literally screwed right into the opening. I added a couple of pieces of gaffer tape on either side for stability, but I probably didn’t even need that. You’ll need some kind of a stick or pole to push the sand through. Still a bit of a time, consuming and tedious process, but it works. I believe using sand will provide better longevity than water.

Works great and has kept my freestanding umbrella secure through really windy days. I do wish there were casters or something so I could move the umbrella around my deck as the sun moves.

Easy to fill. No complaints from me.

This arrived on time, was as described and was easy to put together. Works as described. Have only had it a short time, so we'll have to see how it holds up over time/seasons.
