Excellent Denso Spark plugs for Tacoma
The Denso Duel spark plugs were installed in a Tacoma Double cab, 6 cylinder with ease. They fit great and the quality was outstanding. The truck has about 185,000 and is about 22 years old.If you don’t know what you are doing, take it to a mechanic because it takes awhile to move hoses, cables, air intake funnels, sensors, etc, and reinstall them correctly. Especially hand tightening the spark plug threads into its proper position.

All six plugs were damaged
I bought a six pack of these plugs and the ground electrodes on all six plugs were bent so badly that I couldn't bring them back into spec with any confidence. They looked like they had been crushed or ran over. Possible Chinese knockoffs.

Original Mande in Japan, perfect OEM. Check the gap.
Just completed timing belt, wp and tune up on my 2001 4 Runner, with 247k. Ordered a kit from TRQ which included plug wires, plugs and coils. My last complete tune up was done May 2013, with 161k miles, by my local Toyota dealership where I purchased it from.I have several cars, so my 4 Runner is not driven much. The old coils still looked great as did the plug wires and plugs. A photo showing the old plugs is attached. They were NGK instead of Denso which was odd since the dealer performed the work. As you can see, everything is still looking great. Even the plugs with over 80k looked almost perfect. The gap was 36 instead of 44 which I thought was below spec. Even so, she ran perfect, with no misfires or even electrode wear. Very unusual. I ended up just replacing these plugs, since the plugs in the TRQ kit were single electrode, platinum. The only issue with the Denso was that they were not pre-gapped. Some were 34,38 and 40. Make sure you check gap.
