When fully extended what is the measurement from wall?

Hi Ann, Just measured for you. The arms themselves are 47cm and if you put the tape measure to the wall and measure to the end of the arm when opened it is 54cm. It is really neat when folded up and seems to be quite sturdy even though I thought it wouldn't be, even with bath sheets etc on.

Hi.. can this be put up on any wall (i.e. internal plasterboarded wall) or does it have to be an externl super strong wall?

Hi, we have fitted it to an internal plaster boarded wall. Although it's ideal to attach to wooden battens behind plaster board, we couldn't find any battens so had to rely on plaster board only. We used a really good expansion screw/fitment (we used metal ones that open out (behind the plaster board) as you screw the screw in). I hang 3 or 4 pairs of jeans plus all the other clothes on the hanger at once and do not have a problem. Just need to be careful not to pull down on clothes too heavily. Hope this helps :-)

Do you have to pull this out full length or can you use it only partially extended?

probably best to pull out the full length as it clips into place then.....just checked you can leave it ½ way but the 2 side bars are out anyway so not much point in not pulling out the rails ½ way ....

Can it be used outside

Very much so! Mine is on the outside wall of the house.
