5/1/25 WD_BLACK 1TB SN770M M.2 2230 NVMe SSD for handheld gaming devices, Speeds up to 5,150MB/s, TLC 3D NAND, Great for Steam Deck and Microsoft Surface - WDBDNH0010BBK-WRSN7mo use so far so good. I purchased this brand because it was a little less cost that the other brand I wanted.I am happy to say I am content and happy with the speed used for the surface pro 9.Easy to install and it works just fine. enough space for apps/software.I rarely to never give 5 stars, but this was fits my criteria for a perfect product. I could not find a flaw or have any complaints.

Easy install on a Surface 9 Pro
Surface 9 Pro updated flawlessly, not seeing heat issues.. maybe when charging but I doubt it, it is actually a little cooler than the Microsoft w heatsink by a couple of degrees

Great for Steam Deck
I purchased 2 of these to upgrade Steam Decks. I did some research and read about other options that might run hot. These work perfectly with no issues, even when the Steam Deck is played all day.

Fast little guy
Put this guy in an NVME-to-CFExpress type B adapter. I can record 8k N-Raw (HQ) with a Z8 (690MB/s data rate). I don't need to, but its nice to know it can handle it. 20fps RAW is about 620MB/s, so not going to outrun the buffer with stills.Reads at over 1GB/s when offloading.

Followed the ifixit guide for replacing and installing into a steam deck. Zero issues and a noticeable increase in speed for storage writes on the steam deck
