WOW
I combined this soundbar with a Govee backlight ,a 65” tv and a PS5. The effect is superb. 3D sound is mesmerising and so good that even my wife has commented on it. The sound quality is excellent with deep base if required. Purchased in pre Xmas sale for £750 and worth every penny. 10/10

Works quite well with my 48 inch TV
Solidly made with plate glass top, simple HDMI connection and set up via Bose app and headset microphone. One linked the volume is controlled by our Bluetooth TV remote. My TV gives great images but lacks good spacious sound imaging and I don't always want to power up the AV receiver to watch a programme. The Bose adds a reasonable amount of width and height to the sound stage and the speech enhancement is quite good especially at lower volumes. We recently watched a film with lots of whispering and heard it clearly, then watched the same at a friend's using an AV receiver and had difficulty hearing the dialogue.Initially we thought it was an acceptable improvement on our TV speakers but didn't match up to the praise given by reviews - then we streamed a film on Prime with Dolby Atmos sound track and suddenly the Bose came alive giving richer sounds, deeper bass and wider soundstage. I may be tempted to invest in the subwoofer eventually as simple, pleasing everyday sound source, links easily to internet radio and other sound sources. It sits under the very low bezel of our TV 2.3 inches and is a fraction narrower, listened to other recommended units at lower prices that impress at higher volumes but lacked the clarity of the Bose at moderate volumes often used for late night listening. Seemed slightly overpriced at first but it impresses the more we do with it, so overall a happy choice.

You get what you expect from a Bose product.
This Bose product replaced the older 500 bar, sub and surround speaker setup I have had for about 5 years. I went originally for another brand that boasted Dolby Atmos sound but it just didn't deliver and I returned to Bose. This is now the only speaker I'm using as I've not felt the need to add a sub or surround speakers yet. I may do later on but so far, so very, very good. Easy to set up, even with the weird looking Adaptiq process. Just don't do it when you have visitors. :).Connectivity is easy and it is all just very simple to set up and get the best out of.

Great Hardware with Awful Software
I have been a Bose fan for 20+ years. I've bought everything from headphones, to portable speakers to their sound bars. So please understand it is hard for me to give a low review as I still rate almost every other Bose item I still own.I have owned the Bose 300 sound bar for a while with the bass unit and surround speakers. I love it and and decided to upgrade to the Ultimate as I wanted Atmos.Sadly this has been a frustrating and disappointing experience due to hardware crashes, issues with sound not playing as well as having to resetting it almost every day. There has just been a lack of stability and believe me I truly truly truly tried to make it work..... I really did but after 2 weeks and a multitude of issues I returned it and went back to my Bose 300, which is more reliable. Here are the pros and cons that should explain why it was returned:Pros:+ Sound is amazing, the few times I got it working it was a delight, this is great hardware let down by awful software and mobile app (see below)Cons:- Software is unstable, requiring me to unplug it every time turn it on- Software is unstable, requiring me to reset the whole setup in the app to get sound out of all speakers- Software is unstable, showing a red light all the time no matter what I did a week into ownership and not even a factory reset could get rid of it even when it was working perfectly (Which was rarely).- The app is poor, no ability to update the hardware's software (You have to use secret combinations of buttons on the controller and god knows what's happening when you do, the app won't tell you much)- The app is poor, no alternate sound settings for the equaliser, no sound bar reset, no feedback on issues, its bare bones at best and close to useless unless you want to change the volume)- Adapt audio setup results in weak hard to hear surround sound, not an issue on the previous Bose 300 soundbar. All of this just frustrated me after a lot of days trying and retrying to get my unit set up. Remember I love Bose but for this kind of money they must do a better job with their software especially as their engineers are doing such a good job with the hardware. I suspect they did very little QA on the software and even less focused user testing.

Brilliant soundbar, needs the Bose 700 base module and a couple of small speakers to create fullsurtond sound, but we'll worth the money

High end but disappointing
Doesn’t play sound regularly. Have to unplug and reset all cables and sometimes still doesn’t play sound. Have used all settings on the app too. Known product fault. Bose fix up.

Hugely disappointed
We have 5 Bose products, including a sound bar and have always been really very pleased with everything. But this, for £750 (in the sale) did not sufficiently out perform what we already have to make it worth the money. The app & getting it to sync with the bar - took over 10 attempts to achieve functionality. Awful.Speech clarity. Brilliant. But at the sacrifice of depth and rumble and thump, despite playing with every single setting for an hour.Tried playing music via Bluetooth but same issue, no 'belly' to the sound.Hugely disappointed, sent it back.
