Two new sequels for Ju-on: The Grudge. Ju-on: White Ghost A son brutally and methodically murders all five of his family members after failing the bar exam. He then hangs himself. At the moment of his death, he made a cassette tape recording in which he can be heard saying 'I'll go, I'll go soon...'. On the same tape can be heard the eerie sound of a young girl's voice. It is the voice of Mirai, who was a friend of Akane, whilst at primary school. Mirai was a victim of the mass family slaughter incident. Akane, who is now a senior high school student, has had a strong ESP power since childhood. Suddenly one day Mirai appears in front of her, wearing the yellow cap and red backpack of a primary school student. The terror is just about to begin... Ju-on: Black Ghost Nurse Yuko is left in charge of a young girl called Fukie, and begins to experience strange things. Medical examinations reveal that there is a 'cyst' in Fukie's body. The cyst is actually an unborn one that is full of hatred for mankind and curses everyone around her. Yuko's neighbour is taken by a girl in black, and Fukie's father commits a murder and goes insane. Fukie's mother has to rely on the special psychic powers of Fukie's younger sister to help drive out the evil spirit. However, the exorcism eventually fails, and the worst grudge yet begins.

Creepy But Not Scary
The stories are creepy. First and foremost I guess that what matters in a horror movie. This takes several different experiences of different people with their own Ju-on ghost. It wasn't clear that's what it was at first which was a little confusing when the stories would change suddenly and in the end I think they try to intertwine at least a couple of the stories but it was a little confusing after just one watch. Probably after a few viewings it would be clearer, which is something I've found with some Japanese horrors. It's sort of obvious that they used some kind of mask to make each and every ghost look like the classic Grudge lady ghost with a little bit of wrinkles? they look like. The same but different. That ruined it a little for me but not enough to not make this creepy. The classic Grudge noise is back and just as foreboding as ever. The quality of the movie seems like it was a TV movie or something but, it's the acting that makes this good and the Japanese can act horror.I would recommend getting this if you're willing to watch it a few times and if you can get it cheap. I don't think it's worth paying a lot of money for but it's certainly worth a look.

Simple but worth your time.
A simple fusion. Both a ghost story and a slasher, with very little sfx and a basic story. It's predictable, but strangely engaging. The movie explains itself first, how sometimes someone can die with such hate and anger that a powerful curse is born. All who encounter this curse are doomed. It's that simple.Best watched alone. Only an hour long, with some real suspense and a creepy atmosphere along with a few jump scares.

Better Than Expected!!
When I first heard they were making another Ju On movie to mark the 10 year anniversary, I have to admit, I thought it would be bad. Then I realised they were making 2 movies, which honestly, sounded just terrible.I bought it to give it a go and I was very pleasently surprised. While obviously its not superior to the original, its still a nicely told and polished production. Each movie is an hour long but there are still plenty of shocks and suspense to keep you watching. This Is why I prefer Asian Horror to Hollywood, you don't need tonnes of blood to make a good movie.White Ghost just edges out Black Ghost for me as the storyline is more hard hitting but Black Ghost appears to be more faithful to the original Ju On.If you're still wondering whether to buy it or not, I say just buy it. It's only a fiver!!

Not as good as it should have been
This was not what I was expecting, to slow and relied on the name of other films that are far superior. Creaking, grasping voices do not make a horror. Found myself expecting a film like the grudge, the ring and was let down. Dissapointed.

Oh...my...AAAAAAAAARG...gosh...
Ok I am watching White Ghost as I am typing this and I have jumped about 4 times. It is SERIOUSLY jumpy! So far, the story line is actually ok, is linking quite well with the original Ju-On's but not too much to make it part of the sequel.I like actually. I like a lot!Terrifying though, don't watch alone at night!

Worth a watch, not fast pace, not gory, but it doesn't need it - an interesting story.
Great suspense and atmosphere; a number of creepy moments, but no jump-scares that I noticed. I like Japanese horror, certainly in preferance to many of Hollywood's laughable attempts.

Scary stuff
This is a good solid unsettling supernatural horror. What starts out as a series of individual sinister vignettes soon prove to be connected in the darkest and most frightening of ways
