OROROHeated Hoodie with USB-C Rechargeable Battery, Fleece Full-Zip Heated Sweatshirt Hoodie

I purchased one of these for myself (same brand, different style) for walking my dog on cold winter mornings. It is AMAZING! I turn it on, leash my dog, and by the time I walk outside I am not freezing walking him on even 10F days; in fact I'm warm. I usually set it to high to start, but often times I actually lower it once outside, because I don't even need it on full blast. I also sometimes wear it as a normal coat on cooler days. If I happen to get cold, I turn it on to low.My wife is always cold. She wanted one too! She uses hers mostly on medium or low, to get the longest battery life. It keeps the chill off and she can wear it for hours while we are outside on cool days (she tries not to leave the house if it is under 30F lol). But, if it is cold outside, she loves this (paired with her auto start heated seats) for cold days. She can go to her car and be toasty warm even if it is 0F out. Her car has a 4 cylinder engine; it takes like 30 minutes to heat up the inside of the car when it is 20F or below out while idling. So this way, she only has to wait about 5 minutes for the heated seats to be going, and with this coat she's good to go.The batteries have worked and lasted plenty for us. We purchased these a little over a year ago. Just starting using them again for our second winter. Now, if you want to go ice fishing or something, and have this set on high all day, you are going to want another battery. But for us, we've never run out. I only charge my battery about once every 10 days or so (if I'm just walking the dog. If I know I will be going out somewhere I may need more power, I'll top it up). My wife's we just charge basically after every use, because she usually uses it for hours at a time.Also, pro tip. If you are going to be out for a while in extreme weather. Like I've gone fishing a few times in 20F weather for hours. Wear some type of coat or windproof shell over this. It will hold in the heat even better and really enhance the warmth even more in extremes.

Love this Hoodie. I almost gave it a 4 star, but only because of something I can not verify after only a week of use. The battery is questionable. It "seems" the battery charge doesn't last as long as it did the first couple times of use. I hope I am wrong. Only the future will tell. I would buy this Hoodie even without the heating system, but obviously not at the high price. This Hoodie kept me warm in the cold. I also wonder how expensive it will be to buy a replacement battery?

I wear it to work from fall to spring. I work in a steel mill that’s cold this sweatshirt is warm without the heat but with the heat it takes the chill off your bones! It needs to fit snug in order to feel heat but with that said that means you can always wear a coat over top.

I never really like jackets or coats. I always loved being in sweaters no matter how cold it gets. So when I saw this was a heated sweater, I figured oooooooooouuuuu why not test it out. And I work over nights and in a big warehouse, so it can get really cold. This sweater kept me nice and cozy, plus it drew a lot of attention when they see your chest glowing haha. I’d definitely recommend this sweater.

I bought this hoodie for sort of an out of the box reason - as a woman who is approaching a certain age, I wanted what I viewed as basically a wearable heating pad for the aches and discomfort that are getting progressively worse during hormone fluctuations. I hesitated on spending this much money on something that I thought was going to be for once in awhile use, but I am SO GLAD I bit the bullet and bought this thing. I'm also a hockey mom, and today in an ice cold rink, my toes were the only things that felt truly cold. I also own a Jeep Wrangler and this hoodie has just extended top down riding season into November. I read a million reviews before I chose this hoodie to purchase and one of them in particular that outlined the truly top notch quality of this hoodie was a large part of my decision making process, so I wanted to share my own extensive feedback.I'll start with quality, because that is what has truly knocked my socks off about this hoodie. It is a very heavyweight, nice feeling outer material, and lined with fleece throughout the whole sweatshirt. Fleece is in the sleeves. Fleece is in the hood. Fleece is in the pockets. The combination makes for a very solid fitting, super cozy sweatshirt. But despite fleece everywhere and a heavy duty outer material, the hoodie is surprisingly not too much to wear indoors. The construction is also top notch. The wrists are quite fitted and the hood is very generous - you are not going to be pulling at it or constantly repositioning it. This sweatshirt is an amazing pick even if you don't consider the heating elements.But it does have heating elements, and they are amazing too. I felt the back panel just one minute after turning it on. It heats up very quickly and while it kept me warm enough to exist comfortably in a rink so cold I could see my breath, it never became uncomfortably hot, even on the ride home. The positioning of the heating elements in this hoodie are exactly what I wanted for the chest and back comfort I was looking for when I first bought it. The battery pack sits in an inside zippered compartment behind the left hand pocket, and it is a tad bulky at first but I got used to it pretty quickly. If this hoodie was very fitted on my midsection though, I'd think the outline of the batter pack would have been visible. That might be a consideration for you depending on your body composition or how fitted you want this sweatshirt to be.As for sizing, I am 5'1", 135lbs and 36D. I typically wear a size S in most tops and size M in most sweatshirts or outer layers, but I went with the size S in this hoodie based on feedback in the reviews, and that ended up being the right size for me. I have room to wear a fleece Cuddl Duds layer under this if I'm prepping for really cold conditions, but it's fitted enough that I can fit it under my heavy duty winter parka. Size S fits on me in such a way that it's loose enough to give that comfortable sweatshirt feel but fitted enough that the heating elements feel good and I remain aware of them while I'm wearing the sweatshirt.Lots of people mention the light up emblem on the left breast as a negative, but I think it's kind of cool. It is really small and not visibly lit up at all in bright light (sunlight or fluorescents). It's also a super convenient place for the power button.Long story short, buy this hoodie. It is super, super high quality and not only will it slay at whatever use you already have in mind for it, you will also find other uses for it once you wear it and fall in love with it.

I can work on cars, do yard cleanup, or just enjoy the outdoors during the winter months. Wear under a light jacket or wind breaker instead of a heavy jacket and be warm for hours. I bought two so I have a second battery and charger.

Very nice material and the battery feels like quality. It is a little bit big so if you want it to be tight on you if you're a large then get medium but I wear it at work so a large for me is fine under my coveralls and gives me breathing room. The packaging was very nice. On medium it gets more than hot enough for -10c weather and it heats up fast. The material is very silky and fleece on the inside. Everything about it screams quality but it's a little frumpy when it comes to the zipper and how it waves in and out. For some reason with the battery plugged into the sweater I have to turn on the battery with the power button on the battery itself, then I can use the sweater button to work it but the sweater button itself won't turn it on. This is strange to me.EDIT: Changing my review completely after a month of owning this sweater. The first unit I received, the battery became defective after just a day of use and would not turn on the sweater no matter what I did. I got a replacement from Amazon and the new one worked great for a bit, but now it shuts off constantly after I turn it on (when there is still full battery) and when charging the charger flashes red green intermittently and the battery itself only charges about half way. This combined with the battery shutting off over and over makes the hoodie useless. I loved it when it did work but.. it doesn't. This all seems to come down to faulty batteries and very poor qc on them, as if the sweater and the charger are reading empty/full prematurely. Wouldn't recommend this sweater.

Battery life is abysmal. If you're in -10c weather you'll need it on max setting just to see a 15 degree improvement. The battery will then last around 4-4.5 hours max. I had this fully charged when I went to work. I turned it on at 9am and by 1:30 it had powered off and wouldn't turn back on. There's only a 4400mah battery in it and yet its $90 to purchase a second one. You can buy a double capacity usb brick for half the cost so they are gouging for a proprietary battery as material costs are nothing special. The USB port for charging is useless. My phone dash charges at 4amps and this hardly slow charges. The capacity is so low that technically if you charged a modern cell phone, you'd only have enough juice for around 40 minutes. Another thing is how big the brick is compared to the capacity! Take a look at a 4000mah cell phone battery. You could easily fit 12 of them in the chassis of this power brick. It could have been made a fraction of the size.I own a proper Bosch heated jacket and I can get a full 8 hours on high without issues. The batteries have a way higher capacity and if you need a second one to swap out (long day outdoors) a second battery can be had for $42.Its highway robbery.

Firstly​, I'm very satisfied with this hoodie. It's obviously well constructed. It fit according to my expectations. (I'm a 5'9" woman who is 140 lbs. I like my hoodies to be oversized, and I purchased a medium, which fit nice and baggy, just about covers my butt and the sleeves are long enough to hide my hands in). The liner is very soft and cuddly, and the hoodie itself is thick and warm.The hood is a good size and so are the pockets.The zipper seems pretty sturdy, however, the zipper is plastic. Hopefully it will hold up to use, but plastic zippers can be temperamental and I don't prefer them.The item is pretty easy to use. The instructions are straightforward and it heats up quickly and evenly and the battery life is true to what's advertised. The heat is really, really nice! I'm always cold and this is just what I've always needed.Now onto the cons. I've already mentioned the zipper, which is on the fence- if it holds up, great, but metal would be better.The heating element only covers the top half of your torso. I knew this when I bought it, but it really would be better if the heating wires covered the low back as well.It gets nice and warm, however, I'd prefer a warmer highest setting.None of these are major problems, just preferences.However, the battery definitely makes the hoodie less pleasurable to wear. The battery is large, cumbersome and heavy, so much so that it drags the sweater down on one side. That's right; one side. Instead of placing it in the center / low back (which would justify the lack of low back heat), this large and heavy battery is placed in a pouch in the left side of the garment. It's uncomfortable, annoying, and hard to ignore. The battery is bulky and heavy, and the placement makes the sweater lopsided and sort of awkward. This would be much better either in the back of the sweater, or as two smaller batteries, one on each side.This design flaw is the only reason I've given the sweater 4 instead of 5 stars.All in all I'd say it was worth the $150 bucks and I like it, but it would be vastly improved with changes to the power source.

Pros:- It’s a better fit than the other heated hoodie brands.- The slow fade on the LED when turning it off is cool.Cons:- Zipper is super annoying very hard to work with and zip. Very small and regular metal teeth; they should’ve went with the larger teeth for ease of zipping, similar to the ones they use on some backpacks. I found myself fiddling so much trying to get it to zip properly in the morning when I’m trying to catch my bus. It will probably break or get dislodged. I don’t use it much now so won’t know. I got another heated hoodie because I disliked this one that much.- It’s a very thin hoodie, which means you need to run the heat longer and it won’t retain both natural body heat and powered heat as well.- The sleeve ends are kind of annoying.- The worse con is probably the damn proprietary battery! You can only buy extra batteries from them and it’s not USB powered!! Which means it’s hard to have backups.I got the Venture Heat Evolve Heated Hoodie instead which was the ultimate heated hoodie that, although didn’t fit as well as Ororo and a bit oversized, at least didn’t have the issues the Ororo does: it has a better zipper that’s super easy to use, even in the two inner pockets, very thick and fleece-lined (warmest hoodie I own including my non-heated hoodies!) which means less powered heating needed and sometimes don’t even need to turn it on, has two pockets and is very comfortable. Best of all, it’s USB powered!!! Just need any USB power bank! HOWEVER, the version I have is discontinued and the new Evolve hoodie is no longer USB powered :( Please bring it back. They argue that USB power doesn’t provide the current needed for max heat, but um just make it USB-C with PD then for up to 5 amps at 20 volts… I personally had no issues with the heat on my old Evolve.

Got this for my son who works outdoors. He loves it.Only issue is that you need to order the next size up. Ordered a medium and, while it was labelled medium, it was small. Ordered a "large" and while it was labelled large, when compared to a medium t-shirt, it was definitely a medium. So, because of the issues with sizing and having to return on product to get a proper size, I'm only give 3 stars
