Pentel Arts Pointliner Pen, (0.5mm), Black Ink, Box of 12 (S20P-5A)

Only complaint is VERY minor: the cap doesn't post onto the back very well. It's fine clicking in place over the tip but a bit scared of losing the cap when writing. Nice pens tho!

I wanted to sketch and then watercolor over the ink without it running and these have been the best pen I've tried so far. They really hold a nice point and the lines are very clean and consistent. The perfect pen for anyone wanting to be creative with mixed media, especially watercolors.

I use it for writing a lot, and as outliner in my abstract art. For the money (I get the 12-box), you can’t go wrong. They stay sharp very well. They are ‘restartable’ if you let them dry out overnight: just touch the point with your tongue and it’ll restart. Good value.

These are the smoothest, nicest-writing pens that I have ever used.The printings (logo, etc) on the pens themselves are prone to wear off, but that is unimportant.

I bought this pen to use in my rock painting. I needed a good black pen to write sayings on the rocks. These pens seem to be perfectly suited for that. And when I seal the rocks, the pen line doesn't bleed. Recommend.

I'm not the biggest fan of these pens. The way the nib is designed makes it so you can't hold the pen at a 45-degree angle and make marks. You have to hold it upright. It doesn't stop me from drawing but personally, I like to be able to hold my pen at an angle.My second issue is that the tip tends to dry up prematurely. Often times I have to get the ink to start working again even when I'm holding the pen upright. I either have to scribble until the ink comes back, flick the pen a bit, or wet the felt tip. I know the pen isn't out of ink because it happens with new pens.In my opinion, if you're going to buy this brand, I know that the 0.05 size works way better. Of course, it's a completely different (and very small, not for brand new artists) size, but it doesn't share the same issues as the 0.5 version. I like them a lot better.\

Writes smooth,doesn't blend when starting or stopping a line. Haven't checked out whether or not, it's water resistant. But seems to do what I need it to do.

I received my package of 12 pens within a few days. These pens are the least expensive of their kind on Amazon, and their performance is excellent for writing and illustrations. I have a firm grip and tend to apply pressure while using pens, so I need ones that are resistant to wear while maintaining a fine line for my smaller than average handwriting yet offering enough resistance to maintained a defined edge.Compared to the unipin fine line 0.1, which had been my go-to fine liner for nearly a decade, I would say the line is about 0.05mm thicker and resistance 50% lower (meaning the flow of the pen on paper is quite smooth), which is not the end of the world for me, but it is something to consider if you are buying these for a specific illustration use.I have yet to test for longevity, but the flow of ink out of the box suggests these pens will last longer than the unipins, the nubs of which would wear out on me after about 15-20 pages of writing. I think the lower resistance will ultimately encourage me to apply less pressure when writing. Overall, I am very satisfied with this purchase and expect to have enough pens for a year.

Quality is excellent, so is the price.

Penne di qualità senza dubbio, tratto preciso e nero profondo. Venditore pessimo. .Pacco da 12 ordinato, ma ne ricevo soltanto una, ho effettuato il reso perché mancavano le altre 11. Alla ricezione del secondo pacco mi ritrovo solo 9 penne. Un disastro di venditore.. mi son tenuto le 9 penne ed ecco qui la recensione negativa.

these pens are bad, I'm trying to fill up a small sketchbook with anatomy study and the pens dry up every 2-3 days. I've gone through 2-3 pens in about 20 sketchbook pages. I don't know if I'm supposed to ask for another set with non dried out pens but I won't be buying these again of my own volition. If I can only do 2-4 tiny pages per pen that's really sad and a huge waste of money.

Non sono molto soddisfatta, alcune punte sono molto dentro e quindi si fa fatica ad utilizzarli, un paio sembrano già abbastanza scarichi perché dopo poco non scrivono più

I love the ink in these pens, sits very well on the paper and dries quickly. Unfortunately the 0.8 came dry. All the caps were on properly when I received them so must just been defective from the start.
