I use it while brushing my teeth to let me know when I can stop brushing. It’s perfect for that.

Other than an egg time, when did you ever see one of these brings back a lot of memories I got the 15 minute one and I’m keeping it on my desk. I’m trying to limit my time that I sit even though I don’t actually pay attention to it but it’s fun to watch. Nicely made and looks nice on the desk. I recommend it.

It has good timing

I got the 60 min in teal and I didn't really look at the sizing when I ordered, but it's smaller than I was expecting, which is good for me- it's the just the right size and I like that it's just glass, no frame or anything. It's also got a nice rounded and evenly distributed shape. The glass is not fumed like I thought from the description and pics, but the sand is still a pleasant light blueish-teal color. The first time I flipped it and timed it (just roughly to the minute, not seconds) it was accurate to one hour. The second time I flipped it and left for the day, I came home hours later and it had gotten stuck, so we'll see how often that happens. I was able to get the "60 min" sticker off with a few minutes of scraping at it and some goo gone, and it didn't break, but I was pretty gentle since I had read another reviewer's experience of it breaking that way. Overall, I'd say it's worth the $13 I paid, and I'm hoping it'll help my ADD brain learn to watch the time better sitting in front of me on my desk. If nothing else, it's pretty.

The item arrived undamaged in a well-protected padded box. I don't know how accurate the timing of the sand transfer is, since I don't care about that part. I appreciate the visual attractiveness of the item and admire the craftsmanship, although I realize it's likely the manufacturing process is mostly if not completely automated. The price is reasonable from my perspective.

Slightly upset with this because I believe when I read it & originally purchased it, I sworn it was an HOUR hourglass. Not the 30mins hourglass. And it’s because and it just didn’t it again. When I went in to purchase it it says 60mins for $9 but instead I received the two I purchased that hv 30mins.

While this functions as intended I was a little disappointed. From the picture the sand appeared to be a little bit iridescent showing blue and green. When I received the timer the sand was flat green color and not as pretty as the sand that was pictured.

I’d say this is worth the price. It arrived in one piece with no chips, wrapped in 3 sleeves of bubble wrap for protection. I timed it, mine completes in 58.5 minutes, which meets my needs. The sand is a beautiful color. See the photo for a size comparison next to an instax print. Appears to be well built.
