Panasonic SD-R2530KXC - A great machine born and bread.
I bought this so we can ensure we are eating healthy bread. I have had this machine since 10 December 2024, we investigated reviews and picked this one for its versatility and the fact that its automatic, it can make standard bread but also you can add fruit and nuts, cheese and far more, to make some really nice loaves. When using the machine at first the lid seems a bit flimsy but then once you have used it a few times you realise, it doesn't need to be anything more then it is. It has one small paddle that mixes the ingredients, I thought this small paddle cant possibly mix all this correctly, I was proved wrong ever time, its amazing the bread dough is so sticky it all gets picked up by the paddle and the bread basket inside the machine is left clean enough to just wipe clean with a damp cloth. We have had great bread out of it, thanks in part to the instruction / recipe book, the Italian bread recipe completes in just 2 hours and its a great tasting standard loaf, no messing about just add the ingredients and its done. The fact that it will also just mix dough for you without cooking it is great, I have used it to make Pizza dough and that works very nicely, its also vey quiet so it can just work away in the background you want hear much at all, however you will smell it, thats quite a bonus. Its a good size as it needs to be to hold a full loaf. The price we paid £159 was good value for money and we use it twice to three times a week. The flour and dry yeast are easy to come by and sold in all major supermarkets, adding the ingredients takes 2 minutes once your used to it and in 2 hours you will have the Italian loaf, other loaves can take up to 4 hours.I would add a photo but really Amazon need to add a scratch and sniff facility, Im baking some now and it smells great. I would highly recommend it, just check that the Panasonic SD-R2530KXC has all of the features you might require, its great for us.

Superb
We're so pleased with our new Panasonic bread maker. We've been wanting to make our own bread for ages, to move away from the chemicals and excessive salt in supermarket bread. I did start making bread from scratch, by hand, but to do it regularly is a bit of a chore. This machine makes the process simple and consistent. So far I've used the express bread programme (number 8, 3hours) to make 2 loaves, one with (ASDA) 50:50 flour, and one with 75% wholemeal/25% white. I also halved the recommended salt and swapped the butter for olive oil. Both loaves came out perfectly, and so delicious, baked to perfection with a distinctive lightness and succulence to the texture.Other points to mention:The machine is quiet, well made and looks a bit like a shredder. The bread pan seems very well made and when I shake a loaf out of it, the paddle comes out easily, without leaving much of a hole. The control panel is easy to use but could benefit from a backlight and it might be awkward to see for shorter folks. The instructions and recipes and very clear and easy to follow. It's really just a pleasure to use- throw the ingredients in, push the button, and then just wait for the irresistible aroma to appear. An easy 5* recommendation from us.

Just the job
We wanted to start making our own bread. Panasonic was a recommended brand. This is effortless to use. Put all ingredients in and let it get on with it. About three hours later - great bread. Takes a fe attempts to get correct proportions of ingredients to your liking but it is pretty simple and we’ve had no bad results. Only criticism is display screen and controls are on the top and when it’s on the work surface you need to be above average height to see them. Also would have been nice to have a window to see the bread making happening. Can highly recommend this bread maker - for us it’s just the job.

Display screen is a let down
I bought this as what I thought was an upgrade from my old Morphy Richards bread machine that I’d had for years. Its solidly made and the results so far have been good - same recipe produced better texture and size loaf compared to the old machine. However the main thing that lets it down is the display screen. Its not back lit so you have to have plenty of light where you use the machine to be able to read the display. The various icons for loaf size and crust colour are tiny and not immediately intuitive. But worst of all, the display is on the top of the machine at the rear right corner. You have to look down on it to be able to see it clearly, and thats not easy when the bread machine is placed on a kitchen worktop. All in all its a good machine that produces great results but its ultimately let down by the poor quality and positioning of the display screen which makes it awkward to use.

So easy.
Having lived in France for 14 years, on return, I depaired of finding real bread. I took a chance and bought this, and from day one, I was over the moon. I've so far only opted for Wright's ready mix flour, and how easy is that. Add flour and water, switch on and 2.30hrs later delicious bread. I'm sure when we venture into other mixes we'll be just as happy. It's a fairly quiet machine, the non stick surface is just that. It's not a cheap machine, but the loaves are no more expensive than supermarket baked bread. The difference being the taste and texture.
