someone said they were thin... are they the weight of regular Bicycle cards?

I believe the "linen finish" makes these cards feel a bit thinner. My older decks of Bicycle cards seem to be a bit thicker, but obviously have a different finish. I have one newer Bicycle card deck (Stargazer), which is comparable in thickness to this deck.

I bought these and assumed a celebration of faerie like creatures. I’m not aware of a relationship to a game or book. If there is one, you wouldn’t know.
