Q: The deodorant stick broke off on first use, now what? stick fell on floor is is a mess, have i wasted my money? i expected better from dove.

I've resorted to snipping toothpicks into pieces and using them to support the deodorant in the base, trimming them shorter as the deodorant wears down, just so my money doesn't go to waste. I won't be buying any more refills than my initial purchase!

Q: What do you do when the deodorant stick breaks off the base?

Let it sit in the cabinet & use a different deodorant - at least that is what I am doing!!

I don’t know. Mine broke off almost right away. I won’t buy it again

It's called a starter kit. This is a great concept, but the design needs work! The deodorant breaks off the base. Once this happens you're stuck using your hand to apply it and it's a glycerin base, not powder. Yuck!
