I am happy to report back to you with an answer from Whole Life; they replied to my email of inquiry about this very important question: "Our Organic Chicken is Hormone and Antibiotic free. Our Just-One chicken is hormone free, but we cannot guarantee it is antibiotic free." I do not know about you, but I did not know that Whole Life offered an organic, hormone-antibiotic-free version of the freeze-dried chicken treats. I will pursue this option even though it might be more expensive. When it comes to our beloved furry four-legged companions, we pay now or pay later in enormous vet bills. Hope this helps!

According to the package, human grade pure freeze-dried chicken from USA source. That's the only ingredient.

Are these treats good to give to kittens? Less than a year old.

Yes,if kitten is on solid food. And although these are perfectly healthy, no treat is a totally balanced diet. So do limit treats for any pets. For kittens, you have to break these up very SMALL, and you might try getting these WET so the treat returns to a "meaty" texture again. I break these up small for my 10 lb cat.
