Have bought Rain Design products in the past, and always been impressed by the quality. The mBar is no exception, exactly what the product images suggest it is, a minimal (but still sturdy) laptop stand that places your MacBook Pro at a lower height than usual (slightly below eye level for me, though your mileage may vary).While this does mean you can't store things under it like you can with traditional laptop stands, it also means you can still use the keyboard and trackpad while resting your wrists on your desk. Something which can't be said for other laptop stands, and I would certainly prioritise over storage.The only fault in this design is the inability to fold it up and stow it away for travel, as in the mBar+. When the product is as minimal as it is, having "folding" be a premium feature in the range seems unfairly opportunistic, when Rain's products aren't exactly budget to begin with.

It functions well as a stand but what makes this stand out (for what it's worth) is the build quality and look. It looks and feels just like something Apple would sell you for 50% to 100% more money. It is really that nice. Color is a solid match to the mac space grey, build is great, weight is ok. There is likely a tradeoff between weight and quality of these, so I am not complaining, just noting that it is not the absolute lightest you could find.

Je cherchais un support qui permette de surélever mon mac assez haut, de préférence assez esthétique et facilement transportable.Celui-ci répond à toutes mes attentes, en plus d’être très stable, j’adore aussi le fait que je puisse ranger des choses dessous, c’est très pratique notamment quand on travaille dans des espaces restreints.Il n’y a qu’une hauteur de possible mais je n’ai pas besoin de réglage, le pliage est très simple et j’adore le fait qu’il ait une petite housse fournie.C’est pour moi l’un des meilleurs stands du marché.Seul hic, le prix, mais la qualité se paye.

Wer gerne sein MacBook Pro 14" leicht angewinkelt verwenden möchte aber trotzdem noch die Tastatur des MacBook verwenden möchte, der ist mit dem mBar Ständer von Rain Design perfekt am Start. Eigentlich ein sehr einfaches Produkt, dass aber das perfekt gebogene Aluminium Stück passt perfekt zwischen die 4 Füße des MacBook Pro 14" und verleiht so dem Laptop einen festen Stand und einen perfekten Winkel.Ich würde den mBar Ständer aber nicht für unterwegs empfehlen. Konstruktionsbedingt ist der Ständer nicht so gut zu verstauen.
