MTB Black Steel Stair Riser with 1/2/3/4/5/6/7 Steps

I needed some stairs for the back of our deck, and this was a great way to put some up in a short time. The product was designed as a time saver to help people build stairs easily. Only having two steps for me to install made this build easier than cutting my own risers, and the risers have a nice modern look that doesn’t distract from its functionality. The steps are cut from 2”x10” treated lumber, and I used 5/16”x1” stainless steel lag bolts with marine grade washers for the underside of the steps. I would probably use 1 1/2” length in the future, but the 1” worked for this project. I would also use a 2”x12” if doing this again, but the 2”x10” board ended up working out. I pre drilled my holes on the steps and used an 11mm socket to attach the lag bolts to the underside to give a clean look. I have seen many people using various other methods, but this worked well for me. I was able to use bolts on 3 of the 4 holes on the risers to attach the steps, and that gives the steps a solid feel. To attach the stairs to the deck I used 3/8”x2 1/2” stainless steel lag bolts with marine grade washers. I had to dig out one side of the ground due to a slight grade, Overall, it took about two hours of work by myself. I would recommend using someone to help put these in place if you have more than 2 steps. This was manageable for me, but I would definitely recommend a helper to get them in place.

I had to add steps to a door we never use to appease an inspector and keep our home owners insurance. Amazon got them to me faster than buying local. They were extremely easy to install and look good. And if we choose, they are very sturdy and no problem to use.

Super sturdy- I just needed to add two steps onto my deck. I just laid the feet on the ground, as the steel is supportive to downward force. Not worried at all about them sinking.

Needed to replace steps to the deck and just needed two steps. Traditional wood ones were 3 steps and too big for my space and I don’t have the skills to modify or install them. Was excited to come across this product on Amazon. Had the wood cut at Home Depot and followed other recommendations to use lag screws and it was pretty easy to assemble. These steps are more stable than the ones I had before and I couldn’t be happier!

Fantastic product. Both pieces were identical and measured precisely as advertised. Nice black powder coating. Very sturdy and strong. I used a 2 x10, cut to 30 inches for each step, stain and sealed each one, applied non-slip grip tape, then attached with 5/16 x 3in carriage bolts. Anchor bolts to the concrete, then toggle bolts to the wall. I would've used lag bolts to the wall, but there were no studs in that area. Extremely happy how it turned out and it looks and performs great.

They arrived bent from shipping. Once I straightened them, they worked great. Easy to install and attach the wood steps to. I do recommend them. I also recommend another shipper.

Used 3/8 2” lag bolts to secure the top to the 2x8 on the deck. Attached the bottom to a scrap 2x8 on top of concrete pavers using 3/8 1” bolts. Used two 5/16 1” lag bolts to secure each stair tread (advice- buy a 90 degree extension for your impact driver). The access to the stair mounts are the worst and the only negative about these treads. I placed my stringers 16” apart and used 2” thick stair treads from Lowes. The stairs feel solid and I have no doubt they will last for years.

Very solid steps works great. Did have to drill the hole a bit but was not a big deal. Space is a bit tight recommend getting an angle drill bit.

These stair risers were a perfect addition to our small deck. They came with easy instructions for install and are high quality. Definitely would purchase again.

Arrived rusted and packaged very poorly. Included fasteners are junk. Had to replay them black and required modification to work. Measurements in add are a little off
