This walnut shell powder is a fantastic ingredient for diy face and body scrubs. Although the bag is smaller than I expected, the powder is very uniform and in good quality. Each granule is slightly smaller than regular pure cane sugar, which makes it ideal to use on your face. The smell is subtle and totally natural. When mixed with oils, the color turns into a very dark coffee brown. And that's what inspired me while I was making my latest face polish. I added coffee essential oil, which has anti-aging skin benefits, as well as almond oil, avocado oil, pomegranate extract, vitamin C powder, Allantoin, MSM, honey w/royal jelly, coconut oil, rose petal powder, maqui berry powder, aloe vera, and more. It came out great and I'm totally happy with this walnut shell powder. It's a nice, natural alternative to harsher exfoliants. But I wouldn't mind a slightly larger bag- this one will only give me enough for 1 or maybe 2 more scrub recipes, with a couple 4 oz. jars filled in each use. But otherwise, this is a great product for you to try out. I just made my first natural bar soap. It came out so good, and it's main ingredient was the walnut shell powder. It creates the perfect abrasion for exfoliation for your face, hands, and body. If you want to make an exfoliating bar of soap, this walnut shell is wonderful!

Combined this with aloe powder and soap water to use as a mixture and it's taking care of all ingrown hairs. Better than any store exfoliator I've tried. Won't be going back. The powder has a fine texture. It's not abrasive. I use this on both my face and body. Thank you. Please don't ever discontinue.

Good product, just more fine and powdery than expected

This walnut shell powder is gorgeously smooth grained! After reading the reviews I expected it to be nice, but it's even nicer than I anticipated! I used it to make a homemade scrub. This bag isn't as big as I expected, but a little goes a long way and it will last a long time! I barely made a dent in the bag. I weighed it and it was a little more than a half a pound, so they don't count the bag as part of the weight and they fill the bag to the top. This is the second product I've purchased from Herbs and Crops Overseas, and I'm satisfied with both products and will be looking at some other products by their brand. I definitely recommend this walnut shell powder! It's the smoothest grain I've come across and I'm very happy overall! UPDATE: I've now used these walnut granules in several batches of soap. They're awesome, but you need a lot more in soap compared to the amount needed in a scrub. I use 1/4 pound (a half a bag) per pound of soap.
