IwachuJapanese Iron Teapot Tetsubin Gold and Purple Goldfish

Very nice, high quality teapot. As others say, it's a bright purple color.

I loved this teapot. It is cast iron and (plated?) on the inside so it won't rust and will last longer. I get about 4 small cups of tea out of this so it is perfect for me since I am the only one in the house who drinks tea. I love the color, I haven't seen anything like it yet. The color is actually much brighter and more of a purple than red-purple like the picture shows (which is perfect since Purple is my favorite color). I had looked around in many different stores and online at the time and the price for this was great I couldn't beat it. Now I have been seeing some in the more popular stores but I would still choose this one over those for the unique color alone.

I'm in love with this tea pot. I drink tea alone, and slowly. I purchased this with the tea light warmer, and use it almost every day. The mesh strainer is a nice large size to let leaves open, and a fine mesh to keep them from falling through. Great quality.

Love this tea pot! Only problem is the purple paint comes off if you scrub or scratch it, so you have to wash it gently. I'm not all that gentle so after a year or two it will most likely be more gold than purple.

The teapot is so cute and perfectly working for an excellent tea time. Brewing a tea has never been that good
