I bought a Yubikey 5, and then as I set it up realized I wasn’t really comfortable without a backup key. After a little more research I wish I just bought a couple of Solo keys in the first place.It ships as a bare (but sturdy) board with both a red and black silicon case. I’ll update the review if I encounter trouble, but so far it seem to be about as durable as the Yubikey 5 and works for FIDO2 with Google, Bitwarden, and Dropbox identically.There are some features I don’t use that the Yubikey offers, but where they overlap this seems like a great open source solution.

The guys making the Solo Keys are doing a great job. For an open source project, they're doing excellently. They were easy to get into contact with (on Github) when I needed help updating my Solo Secure and are receptive to suggestions.I think this is great value for $20 and I highly recommend the Solo Secure.

What's not to like? It's open source, works great, and is built well. I appreciate the ability to replace the sock and change the color.

Does everything you expect it to. The button is very satisfying to click as well.

I was a backer of the initial Kickstarter campaign... and everything the Solo people sa about their product is right on. It is easy, convenient - does what they say it will do - and if you have a question of an issue, they respond immediately. They are geared to two things - producing an effective, efficient and technically relevant product plus going that extra step to insure customer satisfaction. You can't ask more than that!

I picked up a handful of these as a backer of their initial kickstarter. Setup was a piece of cake and it works fantastically... idiot proof and simple. Love the open source angle as well. The people behind SoloKeys have fantastic communication and prompt responses to inquiries, so if there was an issue, I am comfortable it would get addressed quickly. Two thumbs up!

I love this form-factor FOBs . Open source security, updates, and people that believe in every aspect of what they do. I have hope for humanity thanks to the great team at SoloKeys.
