The slick lock on my sliding door seized up. Several people tried unlocking it including the owner of the autoshop behind us. Tried using a bit of heat to loosen it up after pulling off the rubber cover of course, but at the end of the day they ended up drilling out the lock and then it still wouldn't come off so they had to use a recip saw to cut off the bracket. Before this product failed catastrophically the sliding bracket was giving me trouble. It worked fine for about 2 weeks and then it kept saying the sliding door was open, which was really irritating as everytime you stopped and started moving again it gives a loud beep. In order for me to use the main door locks I had to push hard where the door contacts were and press the keyfob lock button. I tried adjusting everything about it for more than a couple hours and it still would not let the door close 100%. With the bracket being cut off and useless I ended up removing it and my door shut fine.I don't know why mine failed. If I had to guess I would say the locks themselves are made cheaper. My last truck had a different brand of metal puck lock and they felt much heavier and stronger. I really wanted these to work. I've had all my tools stolen before and I like the added security, but when the lock malfunctions and doesn't let you in it isn't a good product. Luckily we had the tools at our disposal to remove it.

Works great so far, they need to provide more paint protection film. I bought some 3M stuff separate (6"x24") cut and applied it to both sides of the lock on both locks. This helps prevent key scratches etc. The provided film (2 half circle pieces the size of the lock itself) are pretty useless.A small butane torch might be helpful too, or I should just remember to rotate the spinners to the proper orientation BEFORE the freezing rain falls....any moisture that gets inside the spinner, then freezes and prevents the locks from being removed until they are thawed......

Bought this on January 28 with plans to install when it was warmer; should not have waited because of 30 day return. Notice in the pictures the locking tab sticks out too far so, if installed, the sliding door will not close / open. Totally useless product for this van. I know; always check return policy! My bad!

Was good at first but now little by little i think it was proventing something in the door from making contact with the sensor that tells the van computer that the Door is closed. So every time I drive up a hill or hit a bump the van makes a ding sound and says the sliding door is open. Really annoying. Now the side sliding door doesn't look like it closes all the way. Also the van won't lock with wireless key unless I press on the door to make contact with sensor. I have to take it off. Waste of money.

The rear doors were relatively easy to install. I have a 2017 Ram Promaster low-roof and the locks fit perfect. It took a few tries to get the alignment right but after that it was smooth sailing. I can recommend this product.

Key broke off in lock after about a month of normal use. Had to have locksmith cut it off. Emailed Slick Lock, did not receive any response. Cost us several days of time and money. Would have enjoyed at least some kind of response from the company (Slick Lock) in our attempted communications. Unfortunately cannot recommend. Very thin/weak keys.

Easy to install locks are light weight but seem secure enough

Really wanted/needed these to work. However sliding and rear door brackets do not fit the ‘21 Promaster. Side door bracket drags on the door when sliding open. Rear door brackets prevent double doors from closing fully. Shame
