Sticks well with warm wet towel and a song, stays on for days and removes easily with baby oil
Love these tattoos. They go on well and stay on very well - even under mittens! Usually the temporary tattos wash off within a day (sometimes a few hours) on my three year old - which results in tears of frustration because (read this with 3 year old anguish and tears) "the <bug, rainbow, cat, whatever sticker> is broken"For folks who were having issues - here is the trick we found. Soak a paper towel in warm water - keep it pretty wet. If you're putting on a hand have the little on put it on a hard surface, if on another body part try to hold it very very still. Peel off the clear strip on the tattoo - put face down where you want it and then put on the warm, really wet, paper towel. Now sing a song - ABC works, happy birthday, twinkle twinkle, Paradise City, whatever you want. When you're done with the song, lift up the towel and try a corner of the tattoo sheet slowly lifting - if the tattoo hasn't stuck put it back down and make sure your paper towel is warm and wet and that you sing the song long enough ;)We've had really great success with these...Oh and to remove - baby oil on a tissue rubbed on gently will remove the leftovers.

Easy to Use, Loved by 2 Young Kids
I use tattoos as a potty training incentive for both my 3 year old and my 21 month old. We have a sticker chart, and at the end of each row they get a tattoo. I wanted something that was cheap but still lasted long enough to not upset my 3 year old. I purchased both the adventures/creatures/sports set as well as the fairies/flowers/teddy bears set to match their individual interests. They are perfect! They go on very easily with a wet wash rag and I have my 3 year old help me count to 30 while we wait. We haven't had any mess up yet! The designs are very simple, but they are exciting to both of my children. They start to rub off after a day or two and are gone in about 5 days. I am very happy with the value of these tattoos, and would definitely recommend them!

Lame designs, stay on well, no smell
I bought some off brand tattoos because my kid LOVES temporary tattoos and they are great for bribery. They smelled like mothballs and the smell didn't go away over time so I didn't love putting them on my toddler. The Melissa and Doug tattoos are honestly not as great of artwork (sort of clip art quality from old school computer software), but they stay on quite well for a temporary tattoo. They go on the same as any--my advice is to wipe the skin off with water to remove any lotion, dry the skin, peel the clear sheet, apply tattoo to skin (face down) then use a quite wet sponge or paper towel to saturate the paper. I learned as a kid to SLIDE the paper off instead of peeling it. Be patient and don't do that step too early or you'll have a failed tattoo application. This particular listing had good designs for either a girl or boy, but nothing super girly. I have a boy so this is great. I'm bummed none of the other listings look like anything he'd be interested in (over the top girly).I didn't find the perforations to work great so I just sat down for 5 minutes with scissors and cut every single on out, and I'll never have to do that again! It wasn't awful. Now they store nice and small in a leftover container and I can use them easily for bribery. Yesterday I cut his finger nails for one tattoo. I would have paid him $4 outright to do that, but only one tattoo did the trick for me! It's nice to have a bribe that is not food/candy because I don't want to give the kid a complex. If you can get over the art quality of these, they are non toxic and easy to use. I'm very glad I purchased them.

Vibrant, transfer easily, durable, yet wash off easily when needed.
These tattoos have virbrant colors and a large variety of designs. My daughter is 2.5 years old and loves these. We had 4 and 6 year old brothers over and all three children loved picking out and doing the tattoos. The 6 year old was able to tear out his tattoo independently, the younger children needed help. The tattoos are separated by perforations so they do tear out relatively easily and clean. They transfer onto the skin quickly and cleanly and they last for quite a while. My daughter's lasted a week before they were visibly starting to wear and we do bath every night. I do wish there were some pictures of girls dressed up or playing sports, as the images are of little boys, but to be honest my daughter and her friends could care less about that. Overall we love these. They are durable however, if you need to wash them off before they come off on their own, they do wash off with soap, warm water, and a wash cloth.
