I have all 3 sizes and love them
I have 1/4 3/8 1/2 Texton flex head quick release ratchets. Great quality as always by Tekton. Very strong and great looking with a nice feel. Priced great. I have these and the Capri flex head ratchets. Both great tools and both have their purpose and pros and cons. The Tektons are shorter and can be a pro or con, most times a flex ratchet is used in tight or awkward places then being shorter they may be more practical in most situations where needed. They also have a nice semi locking indexing feature for the flex head where the Capri do not. But the Capris are tight and do NOT flop around without this feature. The Capris are longer and provide great leverage, you know you have something in your hand with a solid heavy duty feel too, they are my go to for a everyday ratchet, but when in tight spots I do not hesitate to grab the shorter Tektons. I work mainly on bigger equipment and trucks and tractors so thats the only reason the lenght helps me often. Both Tektons and Capris are beautiful, feel great, top quality, can be tightened, hassle free life time warranty and Im glad I have both sets. I will say the 1/4 of both are almost the same lenght. Way cheaper than tool trucks and would put them up against any tool truck set.

High Quality, Decent Price
I got this ratchet to replace a Sears Craftsman 3/8" ratchet that had "gotten away." My old Craftsman tools were all made in the USA. I consider the Craftsman tools made in China to be of low quality. For instance, this Tekton ratchet has 92 gear teeth as opposed to 72 for the Craftsman made-in-China ratchet, and it has a 4-degree working arc, which is great for right spaces. I really like the swivel head. This tool has a bright chrome finish and it looks like it will hold up forever. I used it to change the spark plugs in my car. Ratcheing is positive--you can hear the fine gears meshing as you work. A button on the ratchet head allows you to quickly detach sockets or extensions. You can tell a quality tool when you use it--and this is a quality tool. It's made in Taiwan--which makes some great stuff (like Cold Steel knives). I believe this ratchet will give good service for many years to come. I'm glad I picked this ratchet over a Craftsman!

Tekton tools - amazing quality for an affordable price.
As a relatively new diesel mechanic, I ALWAYS recommend Tekton tools to anyone that can't afford tools off the tool trucks and are looking for great quality tools at a more affordable price. Close to half my tools are Tekton brand and they're all super good quality and I've never had any issues with any of them. Meanwhile my super cheap harbor freight tools break left and right! (As expected...)I've never had any of my Tekton stuff break or not work correctly, but a friend of mine has and all he had to do was send Tekton a picture of his broken tool and they mailed him a replacement for free. You don't need to buy those tool truck tools just because they'll replace them when they break! Thank you, Tekton.

A little to easy to flex
I’ve been searching for new ratchets since my old ones are starting to slip and the once lifetime warranty is now not easy to use. Also the idea of a flex head was appealing, so after lots of research I decided to try tekton… never had any of their tools before. The ratchets seem strong enough when trying to tighten or loosen a fastener, my only complaint is how easily they flex. I have it set to an angle I need and as soon as I put any real pressure, they want to change to a different angle. Super frustrating becaus I can’t get any real torque on them unless they are flat, so what’s the point of a flex head ratchet. I just wish they stayed in place a little better…I’m going to keep them and use them, but if fasteners are tight, back to the old straight ratchet and wobble socket I go.

Great Design and Great Quality
My previous 1/4" ratchet was only 4 inches long. This 6 inch long gives me better reach and handle control. I like the flex head that notches into various grooves for semi-locking capability and makes it possible to access tight areas. I also like the flat head that allows me to place a 7/8" diameter magnet (purchased separately) on top of it so that it transfers enough magnetism to make my 1/4" sockets magnetic enough to hold screws and bolts in place long enough to secure them in place. The 90 teeth gear system make it possible to loosen or tighten bolts when limited ratchet arm swing arc area is available. The socket ball locking mechanism is strong and helps prevent a socket from accidentally falling off. I would buy again, and plan to eventually buy their 3/8" version of this ratchet.

Don't buy this ratchet
I needed a flex head ratchet to remove an awkward bolt on my car. I've liked my TEKTON breaker bar and box wrench set for the last several years so I ordered this ratchet from them. It worked well. In fact, it worked a little too well. The 90 tooth action was buttery smooth and made removing the bolt a cinch. Now that I know what that action can feel like, what it is supposed to feel like, I can't bring myself to go back to my old ratchets. Looks like I am going to have to get myself a full set of ratchets and a few other things from TEKTON now. You can't beat their always warranty where you snap a picture and they send a replacement, the quality is there in the tools I have handled, and the price is reasonable (looking at you tool truck brands). Tools are mostly made in the USA or Taiwan, but they don't go beating their chest about it. In my book they are doing it right. Now, how to convince my wife about getting more tools. Don't get this ratchet unless you are ready to buy more tools from TEKTON.

Nice
I replaced a GW 120 tooth with this and it was an upgrade. I don't know what happened to GW but their quality is lacking now. This one is smooth and has held up well.

Works amazing
Works the same way or even better than some other “name” brands out there on the trucks. Strongly recommend. For professional or just garage use.

Excellent 1/4" ratchet
This ratchet has a great flex head with positive stops. The ratchet has a great action and works with small fasteners very well. I can't wait to use it more!

Life saver
This little guy has been super helpful. I work as a mechanic in a heavy duty shop and this ratchet gets used and abused almost everyday. Well worth it.

Shipping of product was an issue had to reorder also these come with not much or any lube, but
And that is all that is bad,! Superb strength good price well built just lube it. Not gear or pawl teeth though. Bin doin this long time. Serious wrenchers will appreciate the price to value of these. They have strengthened the flex arrangement of past, I’ve used most if not all ratchets etc back to Stone Age. These should find a place along with the tone, gw,so,mac, wera, and ancient v craftsman as very useful, especially the latest iterations. Would be 5 star only time will tell. But you can always pay a lot more and have bragging rights. No thanks. Recently retired my craftsman fine tooth was o flex 1/2 for show only , back in the day those were rock stars. Chose to replace with tekton 15 “ 1/2 flex . Could have bin snappy ,hazet,Mac, but it wasn’t. They appear to have these right maybe flex pin more substantial? I’ll check back in 1 to 52 years or .... these fit bill for small length 90 tooth ratchets. For versatility in larger size , wisdom : look at the ks, wurth ,tone type ratchet but extendable flex head. These multis may save the need for too many ratchets, are compact also and operate locking, a very good set up with out the huge clumsy protoesk heads. Believe they are on amazon. Don’t be backward bout goin forward, big head, bulky 36 tooth ratchet types don’t cut it , got rid of those when abba, was still going disco. 72 tooth minimum. In a torque to yield pot metal world a split beam torque flex ratchet is a must also to do most anything without nightmares in automotive. Tekton are decent, gw , snap ok too. A few years on edit. The 3/8 versions have held up, but the 1/4 flex tends to lose its position of flex ,will need spring stretch or small shim. Not huge issue for me, maybe for you?
